Last week’s Houston Open saw Davis Riley starting to look like his old self on the PGA Tour. Maybe it’s the move to Texas that has done the trick for the twenty-seven-year-old from Mississippi. The State of Texas is where Riley won one of his two KFT titles back in 2020, and funnily enough, it was here at TPC San Antonio.
His PGA Tour career has seen peaks and troughs for Riley, and he has been in a slump for nearly a year now since winning the Zurich New Orleans pairs event with Nick Hardy.

Yes, we believe this is the week that the 2022 Valero Texas Open champion J. J. Spaun can kickstart his 2024. Charley Hoffman Loves TPC San Antonio
There can be little or no doubt that the favorite course and event for Charley Hoffman over his long PGA Tour career is the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio, an event he has been runner-up on three occasions while being the 2017 winner.
A couple of months ago, Hoffman was the surprise runner-up on the PGA Tour at the Phoenix Open, and the forty-seven-year-old veteran could count himself unlucky not to win having run into an inspired Nick Taylor.
The Californian has not been seen on a leaderboard since, but his game still looks in decent nick so if there is one place to consider him, it is here this week.
