The NFL continues to seek a way to find people to watch the Pro Bowl instead of just making it honor and leaving it at that. Once again we have several activities you can wager on for the Pro Bowl.

The action starts on Thursday and here is a rundown of what is available to wager on at the sportsbooks. All events are AFC vs NFC.

Where to watch:

  • TV Channel: ESPN, ABC, Disney XD
  • Live stream: ESPN.com, ESPN+, NFL+, Fubo

Events for Thursday, January 30

Passing The Test – For this, quarterbacks test their ability to hit targets all over the field for 40 seconds. In addition, before the challenge, each quarterback will select a Pro Bowl teammate to answer five trivia questions about current Pro Bowl players. For every correct answer, the quarterback gets an additional 10 seconds. The winner of the competition is the team with the quarterback who scores the most points. Opening odds -115 for each team.

Satisfying Catches – This oddly named event involves wide receivers, tight ends, and defensive backs competing in an obstacle course in which they attempt to make catches from a jugs machine at three different distances. Each teammate will complete the course twice and the lowest combined time wins the challenge. Opening odds -115 for each team.

Relay Race (New) – This is a track-like relay event of four players from each conference running a 40-yard dash before handing a football to the next individual on their team, continuing until the last player runs the final leg and crosses the finish line. The conferences will compete in three rounds, with the fastest team winning. Interesting, opening odds have the AFC at -130.

Helmet Harmony (New) – The players compete in a game show setting, answering questions about their fellow teammates. The team with the most correct answers wins. A good idea to not bet on this one.

Dodgeball – This could be fun to watch. This is a three-round tournament of regular dodgeball featuring six teams of five players. Teams will be a mixture of offensive, defensive, and special teams from each conference, and the last team to players not eliminated wins. Opening odds -115 for each team.

Events for Sunday, February 2

Punt Perfect (New) – For each conference, one punter and one non-punter kick from the 35-yard line, with the intent to bury as many footballs in the six buckets in the end zone as possible. Each bucket is worth a point and every fifth punt is worth three points. The team with the most points wins. Opening odds -115 for each team.

The Great Football Race – This is straightforward and has an obstacle course feel. Here is how it works; six players from the AFC and NFC will face off in a relay race consisting of five different challenges, culminating with a sled push. The team crossing the finish line first wins. As with the relay race, where the fast player will run the last leg, a bigger player with good speed will do the sled push at the end. Opening odds -115 for each team.

Tug-of-War – The classic game played in grade school, big family get-togethers, or other social events. This best-of-three competition has the winners being the team that pulls their opponents into a foam pit. Each group will use five individuals and this is about teamwork and strategy with brute strength as a factor, just not the deciding one. Opening odds -115 for each team. (It is always better if the losers are pulled into a mud pit.)

Flag Football Game – The NFL has not said if there will be any rule changes from last year, thus, we’ll go with what we have.

  • This is with 7-on-7 rules, played on a 50-yard field.
  • Four 12-minute quarters with a two-minute warning at the end of each half.
  • All drives begin at their own five-yard line. Each team has four downs to reach midfield for a first down and four more to find the end zone.
  • Touchdowns are six points. Extra points are worth one or two extra points by scoring from the five or 10-yard line, respectively. Opening odds -110 for each team.
