Plenty Of Strikeouts For Jose Soriano
The Angels are heavy underdogs, but probably shouldn’t be.
They’ll pitch Jose Soriano for tonight’s game against the Mariners. Soriano has struggled against righties but has at least added 29% of strikeouts against lefties over the last 30 days.
That’s ideal, especially since the Mariners have at least five lefties in the lineup, who have collectively struck out 31.2% of the time against righties over the last month. Soriano could put together an excellent game tonight.
Too Much Power Allowed By Logan Gilbert?
Although Logan Gilbert is one of the best pitchers in the MLB, he’s allowed a .194 ISO to his last 98 batters. He’s ultimately allowed too much power to both sides of the plate but has given up more than 40% of fly balls to lefties over the last month.
