Chicago Bears vs. Buffalo Bills

Don’t Sleep On The Bears’ Offense
The Chicago Bears won the HOF Game in Week 0 of the preseason, 21-17. The game was stopped short due to rain. But the Bears were well on their way to a massive night offensively. Brett Rypien led the way with 166 yards passing and three touchdowns.
He’s still the third quarterback on the depth chart but figures to get plenty of reps again against the Bills.
Buffalo’s Debut
The Buffalo Bills haven’t released their depth chart ahead of this game against the Bears. Behind Josh Allen on the depth chart is Mitch Trubisky and Shane Buechele.
You’d have to imagine Buechele will get many reps for the Bills in this game. He was on the Kansas City Chiefs until 8/23 when he was waived. However, the Bills immediately picked him up for the practice squad and then signed him as a free agent for the 2024 season.
In 2020, his final year in college, Buechele totaled 23 passing touchdowns and just six interceptions with more than 3,000 yards passing at SMU.
The Pick
The Bills have been good at developing young talent on the offensive side of the ball, and that likely won’t change in this game against the Bears.
