Berrios has at least struck out 23.3% of batters over the last month. His strikeout rate has significantly jumped up over the last month. Meanwhile, the Angels have hit a .120 ISO as a unit against righties over the last month. That will not get the job done in most games.
Relying on Toronto’s Top Of The Order
The Toronto bats haven’t been sensational this season, either. However, against lefties, Daulton Varsho, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Alejandro Kirk have been tearing it up.
Plus, five batters in Toronto’s lineup have struck out no more than 15.4% of the time against lefties.
Ultimately, Tyler Anderson of the Angels will give up many hits and many fly-ball contact. That’s enough for the Blue Jays to escape with the win.
