It’s Hard to Figure Out Bowden Francis!
The Blue Jays are set to throw Bowden Francis tonight. Francis has had multiple no-hit bids late in games this season. But he’s also allowed a .237 ISO to his last 40 lefties and has given up more than 37% of fly balls in the previous 30 days.
He locates well but doesn’t add a ton of strikeouts. He’s also given up a lot of hard contact and isn’t getting many swinging strikes against lefties.
There’s reason to believe the Rangers can claw out a few runs in this one.
Cody Bradford Is Worse
The Rangers will give lefty Cody Bradford the ball. Bradford has allowed a .216 ISO over the last month and has allowed 40% of hard contact with more than 27% of line drives and nearly 32% of fly balls.
The Blue Jays haven’t been elite offensively over the last month against lefties. But they’re major league hitters, and when they’re served up meatballs, they’ll take advantage.
