Can’t Trust The Angels?
No matter how bad Charlie Morton has been at times, it’s hard to believe the Angels will ever take advantage.
The Los Angeles Angels have hit a .117 ISO and wOBA of .299 against righties over the last month. Meanwhile, Morton has walked just 5.6% of batters and has earned more than 57% of grounders over the last month for the Braves.
The right-hander has limited line drives to below 15% and has even held teams to 25.3% of fly balls.
Morton has pitched better than his ISO and wOBA suggest.
The Atlanta Righties Should Slug
The Angels will roll with Jack Kochanowicz. He’s got an ERA of 7.98 heading into today’s game, and that’s because he’s allowed a .368 ISO and wOBA of .435 to his last 23 righties.
Austin Riley, Marcell Ozuna, and Orlando Arcia have dominated righties as right-handed batters. Look for those three to make significant contributions to the game.
