Don’t Sleep On Schwellenbach
The Atlanta Braves didn’t begin the season with Spencer Schwellenbach in the starting rotation. But they’re glad he’s been a part of it most of the year.
Schwellenbach has held his last 120 batters to a .144 ISO and wOBA of .282. He’s also earned over 55% of ground balls and struck out 35% of batters during that time.
Meanwhile, the Phillies’ projected lineup has hit a .154 ISO and wOBA of .301 with 22.5% of strikeouts and 5.7% of walks against righties in the last 30 days. The Phillies don’t have much going for them here.
Nola’s Struggles Will Continue
Aaron Nola will take the mound for Philadelphia. He’s a notable name and typically a fantastic starter. But he’s allowed a .185 ISO and wOBA of .429 to his last 63 lefties. He’s also struck out just 12.7% of those lefties and has allowed them nearly 49% of hard contact.
The Braves best hitter in the lineup is Matt Olson, who has hit a .309 ISO and wOBA of .400 as a lefty against righties over the last month.
Olson should lead the Braves to victory.
