Carlos Rodriguez Isn’t Good
The Milwaukee Brewers have already pitched Carlos Rodrigeuz against 40 batters. However, those 40 batters have hit a .171 ISO and wOBA of .377 against Rodriguez so far.
Rodriguez has also added just 17.5% of strikeouts and has induced only 33.3% of ground balls.
Meanwhile, he’ll take on a Padres lineup that is inconsistent but still has a few high-profile hitters. Jackson Merrill, Ha-Seong Kim, and Kyle Higashioka have hit right-handed pitchers well over the last 30 days.
Overall, the entire Padres lineup, other than Higashioka, has struck out no higher than 22.2% over the last 30 days against righties.
Milwaukee’s Lineup Will Stay Silent
On the other hand, the Padres will pitch Randy Vasquez. Although he hasn’t been much better recently, his matchup is much better.
While Vasquez has allowed a .267 ISO and wOBA of .421 over the last 30 days, he’s facing a Brewers lineup that has hit an ISO of .108 with a wOBA of .321 over the last 30 days. Milwaukee has shown no power against righties over the last month.
