Colin Rea Will Be Fine
Milwaukee’s starter, Colin Rea, is nothing special as a starter. He doesn’t earn a high strikeout rate and has given up a .180 ISO over the last month. However, he’s set to face a Padres lineup with six batters hitting an ISO of no better than .136 against righties in the last 30 days.
The Padres put the ball in play against righties, but they don’t typically get good contact with it. Rea will be fine against the Padres.
Dylan Cease Will Get Back on Track Too
On the other hand, Padres’ starter Dylan Cease has struggled recently, allowing a .225 ISO and wOBA of .361 to his last 121 batters. Cease is still racking up strikeouts and keeping walks down. However, he’s also allowed more fly balls than ground balls induced over the last month.
That said, he’ll take on a Brewers lineup that has hit a .106 ISO and wOBA of .278 in the last 30 days against righties. Cease will escape damage in this game.
