NFL Pick

Arizona Cardinals vs. Indianapolis Colts

Saturday, August 17, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium

More Clayton Tune and Desmond Ridder

The Arizona Cardinals haven’t announced their plans for Week 2 in the preseason. But we’ll likely see Clayton Tune and Desmond Ridder for most of the game. Tune looked better overall, adding a touchdown on 24 attempts. He also had a higher quarterback rating and averaged nearly seven yards per throw.

However, the offense was stomped for most of the game, adding just 14 points in a 16-14 loss. At least the defense was up to par. However, the defense still couldn’t get a stop when they needed it the most.

Indianapolis’ Defense Was More Awful

The Colts’ defense allowed 34 points to the Broncos in the first game of preseason action. The Broncos didn’t score in the first quarter but added at least seven points in every quarter after that against the Broncos.

But while the Colts played good offense, they had a weird system where they played five different quarterbacks and didn’t give any quarterback more than six attempts to throw. It’ll hurt in the long run if you don’t allow guys to get in a rhythm.

The Pick

Take the Cardinals at +2.5.
