The Cubs Have The Potential To Rake
St. Louis will pitch Miles Mikolas for tonight’s game. He’s a righty who has allowed a .255 ISO and wOBA of .368 to his last 98 batters. Ultimately, he’s struggled with power on both sides of the plate.
That’s simply not ideal going up against the Cubs. Chicago’s offense has hit a .211 ISO against righties over the last month using the projected lineup. In addition, the team has added more than 9% of walks and has struck out below 20% of the time.
Don’t sleep on the Cubs’ bats tonight.
Chicago’s Ace On The Mound
The Cubs will throw Justin Steele tonight. He’s a lefty who has held his last 130 batters to a .078 ISO and wOBA of .269.
Steele has also limited teams to below 19% of fly balls and has earned more than 42% of ground balls. Even his walks are at a solid rate this season.
While the Cardinals have had some success against lefties, the bottom of the order looks like rally killers with low ISO and walk numbers.
