While the College Football Playoff didn’t provide a bang, some smaller college football bowls added some excitement. With more games on the college football betting board, I’ve added three best bets using the AI Model. Check it out below.
Picks Summary
- Georgia Tech-Vanderbilt Over 51.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
- Arkansas -2 (-110) at Bet365
- Boston College-Nebraska Over 45.5 (-110) at Bet365
Birmingham Bowl
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Vanderbilt Commodores
Friday, December 27, 2024 – 03:30 PM ET at Protective Stadium
The AI Model likes Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt to combine for 54 points in the Birmingham Bowl. Yet, you can find the total at 51.5 via Caesars. Take the Over.
Haynes King Is Playing!
Georgia Tech went 7-5 and took Georgia to eight overtimes in their latest game. They’ve got a lot of momentum, which should continue after quarterback Haynes King confirmed he’ll play in this game.
Georgia Tech scored 29.08 points per game this season. Behind King, the offense should have no problems scoring against Vanderbilt.
Georgia Tech scored at least 28 points in each of its last three games.
Diego Pavia Got His Wish
Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt’s quarterback, got his wish to play another college football season. After starting his career in JUCO, he went to court and was able to earn another season.
Pavia rejuvenated Vanderbilt and helped them reach a bowl game for the first time in a long time. Together, they scored nearly 27 points per game.
The defense wasn’t always on point, which is ultimately why Vanderbilt played in many high-scoring games.
With both starting quarterbacks playing in this one, grab the Over.
NCAAF Pick: Over 51.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
Liberty Bowl
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Arkansas Razorbacks
Friday, December 27, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium
Using the AI Model, the Arkansas Razorbacks are expected to pass Texas Tech 29-26 in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Arkansas is only a two-point favorite via BetMGM. So take Arkansas against the spread here.
Can Arkansas Overcome Opt-Outs and The Portal?
The Arkansas Razorbacks were badly affected by the transfer portal. At least 14 players are registered in the portal, and many have already signed with different teams.
The Razorbacks are down to just six scholarship offensive linemen. But all you need is five to win a football game.
Luckily for Arkansas, the Razorbacks have Taylen Green, who can at least make plays with his feet. Some of the top offensive players are unlikely to play in this game, but Green can showcase his ability in this one.
Unfamiliarity At Texas Tech!
Texas Tech didn’t lose nearly as many players to the portal. The Red Raiders also won’t have many opt-outs.
However, Texas Tech lost offensive coordinator, Zach Kittley to FAU and already fired defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter.
Don’t be surprised when Texas Tech isn’t on the same page on either side of the ball.
I’m still backing Arkansas and sticking with the model here.
NCAAF Pick: Arkansas -2 (-110) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)
Pinstripe Bowl
Boston College Eagles vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers
Saturday, December 28, 2024 – 12:00 PM ET at Yankee Stadium
Our AI Model believes Nebraska and Boston College will total 48 points in this Pinstripe Bowl matchup. However, Bet365 is carrying a 45.5. The Model clearly likes the Over in this game.
Boston College Scored Nearly 30 Points Per Game
The Boston College Eagles added 29.25 points per game. The squad finished the regular season with three wins in their last four games. In those three wins, Boston College added at least 34 points.
Boston College has played in five games in which at least one team scored 31+ points. Boston College is typically involved in high-scoring games.
While Thomas Castellanos transferred out, Boston College is way more excited about the potential behind junior Grayson James. Against Pittsburgh in late November, he contributed 253 yards passing and completed 71.4% of his passes.
He’ll face a Nebraska defense that lost its defensive coordinator to Florida State.
It’s Time For Raiola To Shine
Dylan Raiola was the No. 1 recruit in the country last year. He chose Nebraska over more high-end schools and wanted to put Nebraska on the map.
Instead, the Cornhuskers went 6-6 and are playing in the pinstripe bowl. But a full year of experience under his belt won’t hurt. He’ll look to have a big game against Boston College and add momentum into next year.
Look for the Cornhuskers to be more aggressive in this game.
Take the Over 45.5 at -110 NCAAF odds here.
NCAAF Pick: Over 45.5 (-110) at Bet365
