Minnesota Gophers vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

Saturday, November 02, 2024 – 12:00 PM ET at Memorial Stadium

Minnesota Just Broke Out

The Minnesota Gophers are 5-3 and just broke out after a 48-23 win over Maryland. Minnesota has won three consecutive games behind quarterback Max Brosmer. He’s completed over 70% of his passes in three straight games and has thrown six touchdown passes with no interceptions.

He’s making quality decisions, resulting in high efficiency from Minnesota’s offense.

Illinois Is Beat Down

After a 38-9 loss to Oregon, it’s clear Illinois is a bit beat down. The team had a big start to the season but ultimately needed two overtime wins to sustain their success, including one against Purdue, which should’ve never happened.

Illinois’ offensive line hasn’t been very good throughout the season. They’ll struggle to do much of anything against Minnesota’s defense, which hasn’t allowed more than 23 points in four of its last five games.

NCAAF Computer Pick

Consider Minnesota at +2.5 on the road. They’re the better team.

NCAAF Pick: Minnesota +2.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Oregon Ducks vs. Michigan Wolverines

Saturday, November 02, 2024 – 03:30 PM ET at Michigan Stadium

Oregon Stays No. 1

After a 38-9 victory over Illinois, Oregon is still the No. 1 team in the nation.

The Ducks have allowed just nine points in the last two games and have scored 73. The defense is electric in the secondary and above average in all other categories.

Ultimately, Oregon has no idea which quarterback they’ll be facing. It’s been musical chairs for the Wolverines throughout the season with three different quarterbacks. Michigan doesn’t have a reliable quarterback this year, and it shows.

Oregon Needs To Attack Michigan’s Secondary

Michigan’s defense is high quality. Don’t get me wrong. But its worst portion of the defense is currently the secondary.

That’s good to know for Oregon backers, mainly since Oregon is led by a Heisman hopeful in Dillion Gabriel. Gabriel is setting all kinds of records this season and has Oregon in a great position to compete for a National Championship.

Oregon won’t let Michigan, of all teams, take that away.

NCAAF Computer Pick

Grab Oregon at -14.5 on the road. Michigan won’t have enough offense.

NCAAF Pick: Oregon -14.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Louisville Cardinals vs. Clemson Tigers

Saturday, November 02, 2024 – 07:30 PM ET at Memorial Stadium

Louisville Always Finds a Way

The Louisville Cardinals have three losses on the season, none of them by more than seven points.

The Cardinals lost to Miami, 52-45, SMY 34-27, and Notre Dame 31-24. But again, none were by double-digits.

Additionally, Louisville found a way against Boston College despite being down multiple touchdowns. The Cardinals stormed back on the road and defeated Boston College 31-27. You can never count out Louisville.

Therefore, at +11, it’s hard to ignore Louisville’s resume. This team has a premier offense that can stick with anyone—even Clemson.

Clemson Deserves Respect

After last year’s chaos, Clemson went out and still hasn’t received a single transfer from the portal. Clemson lost to Georgia to begin the year, and it looked like Clemson was headed for another rotten season.

Instead, the Tigers are now 6-1 and inside the Top 10. Clemson hasn’t really faced tough talent in the ACC, but the Tigers have scored at least 48 points in three of the last five games.

Cade Klubnik has thrown for 20 touchdowns and only three interceptions. The turnaround started with Klubnik, who was very inconsistent last season. Phil Mahfah already has 682 yards rushing on 105 carries this season.

But while Clemson deserves respect, so does Louisville.

NCAAF Computer Pick

Louisville has thrown for way more passing yards behind Tyler Shough. The run game is also just as electric for Louisville with Isaac Brown. While Clemson’s secondary is elite, the pass rush isn’t doing that much damage.

If you give Shough some time in the pocket, he’ll make some plays.

Therefore, ride with Louisville at +11. They’ve been in every game this season despite losing three already.

NCAAF Pick: Louisville +11 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
