Chicago’s Lineup Looks Horrid
Over the last 30 days against righties, the Chicago White Sox have hit a .136 ISO and wOBA of .278 with nearly 25% of strikeouts and just 5% of walks. The lineup is incredibly bad. It only has Luis Robert and Paul DeJong hitting consistently.
That said, they’ll take on Gavin Stone of the Dodgers. He’s a righty who has held teams to a .072 ISO and wOBA of .249 over the last month.
Stone has also increased his strikeout rate over the last 30 days to 24.2%. Stone has effectively become an important member of the Dodgers’ starting rotation. That won’t change tonight.
Erick Fedde’s Good Enough
It’s hard to shut down the Dodgers’ batting lineup. After all, they’ve hit a .193 ISO and wOBA of 346 against righties over the last 30 days.
However, Erick Fedde is one of the few consistent pitchers for the White Sox. He’s held teams to a .109 ISO and wOBA of .304 and has induced nearly 53% of ground balls over the last month.
That should be good enough to hold the Dodgers and keep the under intact.
The Pick
Even if the Dodgers score six runs, it’s still hard to imagine the White Sox do enough to hit the Over. Therefore, we’ll take the Under 8.5 (-115).
