The Dodgers Are Underdogs!
On paper, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the best team in baseball. They’re filled with stars between Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and many others.
But on the road, against the Yankees, they’re slight underdogs. It’s time to attack.
Gavin Stone will take the hill for the Dodgers. He’s held teams to a .095 ISO and a wOBA of .272. He’s also added nearly 45% of grounders and has allowed only 21.4% of fly balls.
Stone has been electric, and that’s why he’s holding a 2.90 ERA on the season.
Don’t Trust Nestor Cortes
Nestor Cortes is probably the weakest link in the Yankees starting rotation. While he still has a 3.46 ERA, Cortes has allowed a .174 ISO to 255 righties this season.
He’s also given up 36.4% of fly balls and has induced only 29.4% of ground balls. He’ll have a hard time with the Dodgers lineup that has hit a .287 ISO and wOBA of .436 against lefties over the last 30 days.
