We’ve got plenty of exciting matchups in the MLB today. Here’s one of the many bets the MLB AI Model likes for today’s slate.
The Phillies are projected to defeat the Giants, 5.5-4.4, in tonight’s ESPN Sunday Night Baseball broadcast. The top betting sites are sitting at 7.5 for the total, so the Over is the play. Our model believes we’ll get nearly 10 runs!

San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Bad Matchup For Taijuan Walker
The Phillies will pitch Taijuan Walker for tonight’s game against the Giants. It’ll be his second start back from injury. But while he’s 1-0 on the year, he’s also carrying an 8.53 ERA.
In his first start, Walker allowed a .320 ISO and a wOBA of .433 and struck out below 15% of batters.
He’ll face a Giants lineup that typically hits the ball hard when it’s in play. If Walker can’t get strikeouts, he’ll be in for a short night on the mound.
The Phillies Can Contribute Too
While I don’t believe the Phillies will have a field day against Logan Webb and the Giants, Philadelphia just went absolutely bonkers yesterday, scoring 14 runs against a now-depleted Giants bullpen.
If the Phillies can knock Logan Webb out of the game early due to a high pitch count, the Phillies should be able to tack on some runs later in the game to help the Over hit.
MLB Computer Pick
From an analytics standpoint, most of the runs should come from the Giants against Walker. But as suggested, the Phillies should be able to add some runs throughout this game as well. The offense is one of the best in the MLB.
Let’s back the Over. I’m with the AI Model in this one.
