The Giants will send out lefty Kyle Harrison for tonight’s opener. He’s a young starter who has allowed a .156 ISO and wOBA of .363 to his last 40 batters.
Harrison doesn’t add a high rate of strikeouts and has induced only 35.7% of ground balls over the last month. That’s not ideal going up against a Rockies lineup that has hit a .222 ISO against lefties over the last 30 days. Remember, the ISO numbers should be even better with the Rockies at home in Coors Field.
San Francisco’s Lineup Is Still Underwhelming
The Rockies will pitch Cal Quantril. Over the last 30 days, he’s added 44.6% of ground balls and allowed only 21.4% of fly balls, yet he still has an ISO of .311 and wOBA of .424.
Quantril won’t struggle as badly as he has if he continues to put up these stats.
