Yesterday, I reviewed Thursday’s matchups using the AI Model. Today, we’ll take a look at the best bets for Friday’s college basketball slate in the Sweet 16.
The AI Model believes Tennessee will escape with a five-point win over Kentucky. Meanwhile, you can find the Tennessee Volunteers at -4.5 against the spread in most places. A five-point win would give Tennessee the cover.
NCAAB Pick: Tennessee -4.5 (-110) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)

Kentucky Wildcats vs. Tennessee Volunteers
Friday, March 28, 2025 – 07:39 PM EDT at Lucas Oil Stadium
It’s Time For a Third Game!
The Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Volunteers split the season series one a piece. Kentucky beat Tennessee on the road but lost to Tennessee at home.
The latest game was a 75-64 win for Tennessee, which seems more probable for this Sweet 16 game.
The Vols have held teams to a 44.6% effective field goal percentage, giving up just 28.3% from deep and 46.4% from inside the arc. Tennessee doesn’t foul often and has still earned 15.7% of blocks.
Kentucky failed even to reach 70 points in that last game. Expect the same in this game.
Tennessee Can Dominate Inside
The Kentucky Wildcats don’t do two things well. The Wildcats rarely force turnovers and have allowed teams to shoot 53.6% from inside the arc this season.
Tennessee can take advantage of both of those areas. After all, the Vols should earn way more possessions in this game, giving Tennessee more shot opportunities. In addition, the Wildcats aren’t great at defending inside the arc.
Tennessee should have success there.
Finally, Kentucky is good on the defensive glass, but I should still note that the Vols have added over 35% of offensive rebounds and will still likely earn more offensive rebounds in this game. Let’s ride with Tennessee at -4.5.
NCAAB Pick: Tennessee -4.5 (-110) at Bet365
