We’re headed to the Divisional Series in the American and National Leagues. With four games on the menu, I’ve added three of our computers‘ favorite bets of the day. Here’s one of three bets you’ll want to consider. When the AI Model and I agree, it’s a beautiful thing!
The AI Model likes the Mets and Phillies to combine for 8.3 runs today. However, today, the total is only at 7 via Bet365. Therefore, forget picking the outright winner. Just select the Over for today’s game. That’s where the value is.

New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Saturday, October 05, 2024 – 04:08 PM ET at Citizens Bank Park
Welcome Back, Kodai Senga
The Mets made a surprise move yesterday and announced Kodei Senga would be the starter for tonight’s NLDS against the Phillies.
Senga has only thrown five innings in the MLB this season, thanks to two separate injuries. But he was always expected to be the ace of the Mets this season.
Don’t expect Senga to go super deep in the game. With the Mets having a doubleheader on Monday and a three-game series over in the Wild Card round, the bullpen’s depth is a little beat up.
Look for the Phillies to capitalize in the later innings at home.
Zack Wheeler Still Struggles Against Lefties
The Phillies will use former Mets ace Zack Wheeler. Wheeler is a right-handed pitcher who has struggled against lefties.
He’s allowed 44.6% of fly balls and has induced just 30.6% of ground balls against lefties. He’s also allowed a .255 ISO to lefties and has given up 47.2% of hard contact.
The Mets should have Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and Jesse Winker in the lineup. Those three can contribute and help provide some runs.
MLB Computer Pick
The Mets could get ahead early, but the Phillies will likely fight back. That makes it probable we’ll get Over the total of 7.
MLB Pick: Over 7 (-110) at Bet365
