There’s nothing better than a full slate of games in the MLB! I went straight to the AI Model and looked for the best value on the board. Here are some player props our computers like.
The Picks
- Tyler Soderstrom Over .5 Total Bases (-135) at Bet365
- MacKenzie Gore Under 6.5 Strikeouts (+110) at Bet365
- Patrick Bailey Under 0.5 Hits (+110) at Caesars Sportsbook
Athletics vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Friday, April 18, 2025 – 8:10 PM EDT at American Family Field
Our AI Model predicts Tyler Soderstrom will add 1.168 total bases in tonight’s game for the Athletics. Meanwhile, the consensus line is stuck at .5 with the Over at just -135. That’s a steal with the way he’s been hitting.
Tyler Soderstrom Is Legit!
Tyler Soderstrom of the Athletics is tied for first place in the MLB for home runs. He’s socked a .455 ISO and wOBA of .502 against his first 63 righties this season.
Tonight, he’ll battle Freddy Peralta of the Milwaukee Brewers. Peralta has struck out 24% of lefties as a right-handed pitcher. However, he’s also walked 10% of batters and has allowed 37.5% of fly balls, with only 31.2% of ground balls allowed.
Peralta has held lefties to a .140 ISO and wOBA of .308. But that number will increase if the fly balls stay up and the ground balls remain down.
Plus, Soderstrom has hit 31.8% of fly balls and below 39% of ground balls this season against righties. He’s also lifted a 25% barrel percentage with a 56.8% hard contact rate against righties.
Roll with Soderstrom to add at least one total base against the Brewers tonight.
MLB Pick: Tyler Soderstrom Over .5 Total Bases (-135) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)
Washington Nationals vs. Colorado Rockies
Friday, April 18, 2025 – 8:40 PM EDT at Coors Field
The AI Model projects MacKenzie Gore will earn 5.699 strikeouts tonight. While that might sound like a lot, his consensus line is currently at 6.5. The Under 6.5 is the much better play.
Can MacKenzie Gore Continue Dominance On The Mound?
The Washington Nationals’ lefty, MacKenzie Gore, has earned 33.7% of strikeouts to begin the season.
Yet, he only struck out 24.6% of batters last year, including only 21.5% of lefties. This year, he’s struck out 48.1% of lefties. That’s ultimately unlikely to continue.
Tonight, Gore should at least face two lefties in the Rockies lineup. The Rockies have plenty of strikeout targets, but also have three batters who have struck out no more than 20% of the time against lefties.
Additionally, Gore has still allowed a high fly ball rate and a low ground ball rate. That likely won’t translate well in Coors Field, which is known for allowing more home runs.
I’ll take a chance with Gore to go Under 6.5 Ks.
MLB Pick: MacKenzie Gore Under 6.5 Strikeouts (+110) at Bet365
San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Angels
Friday, April 18, 2025 – 9:38 PM EDT at Dodger Stadium
The AI Model believes Patrick Bailey will earn .474 hits, but his actual line is .5 hits. The under has some value ahead of this late-night game between the Giants and Angels.
Patrick Bailey Struggles To Connect Against Lefties!
The San Francisco Giants are slated to take on Tyler Anderson of the Los Angeles Angels. Anderson is a lefty who has limited his first 49 righties to a .000 ISO and wOBA of .168.
Last season, he did much of the same, holding righties to a .152 ISO and wOBA of .308.
Meanwhile, Anderson will take on eight righties in the Giants’ lineup tonight. One of them will be the switch-hitting catcher, Patrick Bailey.
Bailey has hit a .250 ISO, but he’s also added a weak .275 wOBA, and he has 53.8% of strikeouts against lefties so far this season.
Bailey has had a hard time connecting the bat with the ball against lefties. That’s not ideal against Anderson, who has already struck out 24.5% of righties this season.
Take Patrick Bailey to go Under .5 hits. He’s got a bad matchup tonight.
