The AI Model has given us three bets you’ll want to consider for tonight’s MLB slate. Here’s one of the three bets that the Model likes, with the best MLB odds from the top sportsbooks.
The AI Model believes the Braves and Nationals will combine for 8.9 runs. That would be more than the projected total on Bet365, which is just 8.5. Therefore, the Over 8.5 is the play in this game per our AI Model.

Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves
Saturday, August 24, 2024 – 07:20 PM ET at Truist Park
Can Jake Irvin Stop Righties?
The Nationals are in line to throw Jake Irvin. He’s a right-handed pitcher who has been abysmal against righties over the last month.
Irvin has allowed a .312 ISO and wOBA of .455 to his last 51 righties. He’s also allowed 65.8% of hard contact and has earned only 19.6% of strikeouts against them.
Irvin will take on right-handed power sluggers like Jorge Soler and Marcell Ozuna. There should be six righties in the lineup for Atlanta. They’ll produce.
The Same Struggles For Morton
Just like Irvin, Atlanta’s Charlie Morton has struggled to find success against righties despite being a righty himself.
Morton has allowed a .462 ISO and wOBA of .507 to his last 55 righties. Those 55 righties have also struck out just 14.5% of the time and have hit 55.6% of hard contact.
The Nationals will only have three righties. But Alex Call has been a great table setter as a right-handed batter at the top of the lineup. In addition, the Nationals have struck out only 15.5% of the time against righties as a lineup.
They’ll put the ball in play and make things happen, too.
MLB Computer Pick
