Mitchell Parker Can’t Get Righties Out
The Washington Nationals will pitch Mitchell Parker for tonight’s game against the Diamondbacks. However, Parker has been unable to pitch well against righties over the last month.
Instead, he’s allowed a .465 ISO and wOBA of .451 with 42.4% of fly balls and only 30.3% of ground balls induced against righties in that time frame.
Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks figure to have a starting lineup with at least eight righties in it. Arizona is balanced and playing good baseball as of late.
Bounceback For Montgomery
Jordan Montgomery was signed to a massive deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks earlier this year. However, the left-hander hasn’t been very good. But since his return to the diamond from another injury, he’s looked better.
Montgomery faced 18 batters in his last start and held those 18 batters to a .059 ISO and wOBA of .208.
The strikeouts are still low, but he’s taking on a Washington lineup that hasn’t shown much power against lefties.
