Picks Summary
- Kings +10.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
- Wizards +11.5 (-110) at Bet365
- Nets +15.5 (-110) at Bet365
Sacramento Kings vs. Boston Celtics
Friday, January 10, 2025 – 7:30 PM ET at TD Garden
The AI Model thinks the Kings will cover a 10.5-point spread with a 10-point loss on the road. At Caesars, consider backing the Kings. With a ten-point loss, they’ll still win you money.
Don’t Sleep On Sacramento!
The Sacramento Kings are very good on offense. They rank among the top 15 in all five major categories and have scored 115.8 points per 100 possessions.
The Kings should be able to limit turnovers against the Celtics and can always score at a high rate.
Since firing Mike Brown, the Kings have played much more together under Doug Christie. They may have made the right decision after all.
What Happens When Boston Misses Shots?
The Boston Celtics have scored 121.6 points per 100 possessions this season. That ranks third in the NBA. They’re also the best at limiting turnovers.
However, the Celtics have added just 27.2% of offensive rebounds and a bottom-ten free throw rate.
Ultimately, the Kings will limit the Celtics on the glass and should keep them at their typical pace regarding foul shots. With all that in mind, consider the Kings at +10.5.
NBA Pick: Kings +10.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
Washington Wizards vs. Chicago Bulls
Friday, January 10, 2025 – 8:00 PM ET at United Center
Our AI Model thinks Chicago will dominate with a 125-116 home win. But that wouldn’t be enough to cover an 11.5-point spread. Consider the Wizards to cover in tonight’s matchup.
Higher Expectations For Washington
The Wizards have scored only 106 points per 100 possessions. They’ve also shot a 51.7% effective field goal percentage.
None of that is good. However, the Bulls have allowed 116.4 points per 100 possessions and will likely give the Wizards more opportunities to score.
The Wizards also turn the ball over 16.4% of the time, but that shouldn’t be such a factor since the Bulls have gained only 12% of turnovers.
Chicago Isn’t Worth It
The Chicago Bulls will get some quality looks from the field. But when the Bulls miss, Chicago has earned only 23.3% of offensive rebounds and rarely get to the foul line.
That’s not a team with which I’d be willing to lay 11.5 points.
Stick with the Model and take the Wizards against the spread.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Denver Nuggets
Friday, January 10, 2025 – 9:00 PM ET at Ball Arena
The AI Model suggests backing the Nets to cover a 15.5-point spread with a 119-104 loss to the Nuggets. Brooklyn took Denver to overtime last time out. The Nets are in a good position to at least cover this hefty spread.
Do The Nets Have Enough?
The Brooklyn Nets will be without at least five players in this game, including D’Angelo Russell and Cameron Johnson.
Yet, the Nets still look better on paper. Brooklyn has shot an effective field goal percentage of 53.4% and will take on a Denver defense, allowing a 54.3% effective field goal percentage.
The Nets have also added an above-average free-throw rate and might not turn the ball over much when facing a Denver defense that has landed only 13.9% of turnovers per game this year.
How The Nets Can Get Stops
The Nets won’t be able to stop Denver’s offense. The Nuggets have added a 56.9% effective field goal percentage, while the Nets have allowed a 57.5% effective field goal percentage this year.
That said. Brooklyn has forced 15.6% of turnovers. If the Nets can continue to add turnovers, they’ll be able to add more possessions and keep this game tight. Grab the Nets at +15.5.
NBA Pick: Nets +15.5 (-110) at Bet365
