Tonight’s NBA slate includes nine games. With so much action, I asked the AI Model to find its three favorite bets of the night.
Let’s get after it!
Picks Summary
- Jazz-Grizzlies Under 247 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
- Timberwolves-Nuggets Over 234.5 (-110) at Bet365
- Trail Blazers +4 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – 8:00 PM ET at FedExForum
The AI Model predicts the Jazz and Grizzlies will combine for 246 points. However, the total for this game is set at 247 via Caesars. That means the Under has some value in this one.
Don’t Trust The Jazz!
The Utah Jazz have scored just 111.7 points per 100 possessions. They’ve also turned the ball over the most in the NBA this season.
In addition, the Jazz have shot an effective field goal percentage of 53.7%, which is just 20th in the NBA. Meanwhile, they’re facing a Memphis defense that has limited teams to a 53.1% effective field goal percentage.
The Jazz will add foul shots and second-chance buckets, but their high turnover rate will prevent them from achieving a high rate of these.
Can Utah Limit The Grizzlies Anywhere?
The Memphis Grizzlies will earn some really good looks in tonight’s game. It’s also likely they’ll keep the turnovers down since the Jazz have added only 11.5% of turnovers per game on defense this season.
That said, the Jazz have still held teams to 27.8% of offensive rebounds and a 19.1% free-throw rate. In these two areas, the Jazz can prevent the Grizzlies from dominating tonight’s game.
The Grizzlies should win, and they should win by a lot. However, the Under at -110 NBA odds still makes the most sense in this game. The Jazz won’t do their part offensively.
NBA Pick: Under 247 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – 10:00 PM ET at Ball Arena
The AI Model thinks the Nuggets and Timberwolves will score 236 points together. However, most sportsbooks offer a total of only 234.5. Therefore, the over is the best play in this game.
Minnesota Is Red Hot!
The Minnesota Timberwolves have added 115.8 points per 100 possessions this season. They’ve also won five straight games heading into this one.
The offense has already found ways to attack the Nuggets in the first two games of this regular season series. In addition, the Nuggets have allowed 116.1 points per 100 possessions, which is a bottom-ten number in the NBA.
Minnesota should be able to reduce turnovers and will likely add a handful of offensive rebounds. The Nuggets have allowed 27.8% of offensive rebounds per game this season.
Denver Will Succeed, Too!
The Denver Nuggets have one of the best offenses in the NBA behind Nikola Jokic. Jokic most recently finished a game with a 30-20-20 game. It was the first time in NBA history that this had been accomplished.
He’s everything to the Nuggets and has helped them become one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
Take the Over 234.5 in this game. We should get an offensive battle.
NBA Pick: Over 234.5 (-110) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)
New York Knicks vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – 10:00 PM ET at Moda Center
The AI Model suggests the Blazers will only lose to the Knicks, 115-112. Since the Blazers are +4 against the spread, they’d cover in this scenario. Consider the Blazers at home at +4.
Are The Knicks Overvalued?
The New York Knicks took care of business without Jalen Brunson against the Sacramento Kings. But the Knicks are now playing their fourth game on a long West Coast road trip without their superstar.
That has to matter to some degree. The Knicks had lost three games before knocking off the Kings and certainly aren’t playing their best basketball. They’ll have to wait for Brunson to get better. While he’s out, Miles McBride will be playing many of the minutes. He has deserved it and will contribute at a high rate.
But a fourth game on the road without your best player will undoubtedly hurt.
Can Portland Win On The Glass?
The Portland Trail Blazers have lost four consecutive games,, three of which were on the road. They’ll be home tonight, so they should shoot better from the field.
That said, when shots don’t fall, expect the Blazers to add a high rate of second chances. They’ve gained 31.1% of offensive rebounds and should easily win on the glass in this game.
Consider the Blazers at +4 at home.
NBA Pick: Trail Blazers +4 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
