Today’s college basketball slate is filled with NCAA conference tournament games. It really doesn’t get any better than that. Therefore, I asked the AI Model for some assistance in picking today’s best bets.
Here are three bets you can follow along with while watching tonight’s games.
Picks Summary
- Georgia -3.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
- Kansas -10.5 (-110) at Bet365
- SMU -7.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Georgia Bulldogs
March 12, 2025 – 9:30 PM ET at Bridgestone Arena
The AI Model projects Georgia will earn a four-point win on the road against the Oklahoma Sooners. Meanwhile, Georgia is only -3.5 against the spread at Bet365. It’d be wise to back Georgia against the spread in tonight’s SEC first-round matchup.
Oklahoma Doesn’t Match Up Well
The Oklahoma Sooners have shot a 54.8% effective field goal percentage, which is 41st in the nation. They’ve also been getting to the foul line consistently and have nailed nearly 80% of their foul shots.
That said, Oklahoma is weak on the offensive glass and will face a Georgia defense that has limited teams to a 46.8% effective field goal percentage.
Georgia has also limited teams to a lower free throw rate and has added 18% of turnovers. Georgia should be able to limit Oklahoma at what they’re good at and perform well enough defensively in this game.
Georgia Can Exploit Multiple Areas!
Oklahoma has given up 54.7% from inside the arc this season. The Sooners have also allowed 31.6% of offensive rebounds and a much higher free throw rate. These are the three key areas for Georgia.
Georgia has earned 36% of offensive rebounds, ranks 26th in FTA/FGA in college basketball, and has shot nearly 54% from inside the arc.
I’ll trust Georgia to do the little things better. Take the Bulldogs at -3.5.
NCAAB Pick: Georgia -3.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
UCF Knights vs. Kansas Jayhawks
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – 9:30 PM ET at T-Mobile Center
The AI Model likes Kansas to earn an 11-point win over UCF in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament. Meanwhile, Kansas is just -10.5 against the spread at most sportsbooks and would cover in this scenario.
Give The Kansas Defense Some Credit!
The Kansas Jayhawks weren’t as good as some expected this season. Still, they’re well-coached by Bill Self and have one of the best defenses in the nation.
After all, Kansas has limited teams to a 45.4% effective field goal percentage. Ultimately, teams have nailed only 30.1% from deep and 45.6% from inside the arc against Kansas.
With UCF below average from two-point and three-point ranges, it’s hard to imagine the Knights doing enough offensively tonight.
Kansas Can Dominate Down Low
The Kansas Jayhawks simply aren’t aggressive enough and don’t see the foul line much. However, they’ll be able to score inside whenever they want.
UCF has allowed teams to shoot over 52% from inside, while Kansas has nailed more than 54% of shots from inside the arc this season.
Kansas can exploit down low. Take the Jayhawks at -10.5.
NCAAB Pick: Kansas -10.5 (-110) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)
Syracuse Orange vs. SMU Mustangs
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – 9:30 PM ET at Spectrum Center
The AI Model suggests SMU will add a nine-point win over Syracuse in the ACC’s second-round tournament game. However, SMU is only -7.5 against the spread at most sportsbooks. Consider the SMU Mustangs against the spread tonight.
Syracuse is a Dreadful Defense!
The Syracuse Orange won their first tournament game last night, knocking off Florida State, 66-62.
However, I’m not sure the defense can hold up against the SMU Mustangs. Syracuse has allowed an effective field goal percentage of 52.7%, giving up 34.2% from deep and 53.6% from inside the arc.
In addition, the Orange have earned below 14% of turnovers per game and still foul at about an average rate.
Meanwhile, SMU has nailed 38% from deep and 53.8% from inside the arc and should get whatever it wants on offense tonight.
More Turnovers For SMU!
The Syracuse Orange don’t earn turnovers, but they sure as heck give them away. They give up 17.8% of turnovers per game, which ranks them 222nd in college basketball.
Syracuse has also shot only 33% from deep and 52.2% from inside the arc. Although the Orange are good inside, the Mustangs have limited teams to 46.9% from inside the arc this season.
Ride with SMU at -7.5.
NCAAB Pick: SMU -7.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
