Southern Jaguars vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

Our AI Model believes Iowa will only earn a 25-point victory over Southern at home tonight. That said, Iowa is a 26-point favorite, meaning the value is on Southern in this game.
Southern Can Compete On The Glass
The Southern Jaguars weren’t dominant offensively in a 93-79 loss to South Dakota. However, Southern added 40% of offensive rebounds and shot 52.3% from inside the arc. There’s reason to believe Southern can hang around against Iowa.
They’ll need to limit turnovers better and shoot from three at a higher rate. But the offensive rebounding and aggressiveness could at least keep them in it against Iowa.
Iowa Wasn’t That Impressive
The Iowa Hawkeyes faced Texas A&M Commerce and finished with an 89-67 win. But in none of the offensive categories were they supreme. Iowa was just above average in all categories. They currently rank 115th in effective field goal percentage and 120th from inside the arc.

Michigan State already held Monmouth to 57 points in an 81-57 win. The defense allowed just a 34.4% effective field goal percentage and held Monmouth to 26.5% from inside the arc.
Monmouth still shot 93.8% from the foul line and didn’t even get to 60 points in the loss.
In addition, Michigan State shot just 16.7% from three in that game and turned the ball over 18% of the time.
