Now that the 2025 NFL Draft is in the books, fans are waiting to see the schedule announcement in May, then it’s just a matter of waiting for training camp before the season is finally here.

But there’s no reason you can’t start placing some NFL futures bets today after a draft that did not shake up many Super Bowl 60 odds at Bet365, given the fact that Cam Ward (Titans) may be the only rookie quarterback to start a significant number of games in the 2025 season.

Here are some of the picks and props at Bet365 that scream great value today to us.

The Picks

  • Atlanta Falcons – Over 7.5 wins (-130)
  • Dallas Cowboys – Over 7.5 wins (-110)
  • 2025 NFC West Division Top 2 – 49ers & Rams (+170)
  • 2025 AFC West Exact Order – 1st: Chiefs, 2nd: Broncos, 3rd: Chargers, 4th: Raiders (+550)

Atlanta Falcons – Over 7.5 Wins

At Bet365, the Atlanta Falcons have an over/under of 7.5 wins with the juice currently favoring the over (-130). Last year, the Falcons had a disappointing season with Kirk Cousins not looking the part outside of the wins over Tampa Bay. But he was benched for Michael Penix Jr., the team finished 8-9 after some defensive letdowns in overtime losses to end the year, and the Falcons missed the playoffs again.

There are too many NFC teams closely bunched together right now to reliably predict the Falcons to make the playoffs, but they’re a good pick to at least match their 8-9 record from last year, and frankly, they should improve on it.

Penix looked encouraging in his few starts to end the year, and he’ll no longer be a rookie. In fact, he could be in line for a big 2nd-year surge in that offense that retains its main talent with Drake London, Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and a passable offensive line.

Defensive Upgrades Could Pay Off

But defense is where the Falcons needed to improve most under Raheem Morris in his 2nd year, and to be honest, they didn’t give him enough to work with last year. But the Falcons used a pair of 1st-round picks this year after making an aggressive trade to move up for James Pearce Jr., the undersized edge rusher from Tennessee who should be a good fit in Morris’ scheme.

They also got Jalon Walker with the No. 15 pick, and he could have easily gone higher in the draft than that. This should do wonders for the pass rush as Morris gets more comfortable in Year 2 on the job.

The NFC South also isn’t a loaded division, and you may not see a team win 11 games in it for the 4th year in a row. The Falcons haven’t made the playoffs since 2017, and while that streak could continue another year, this team has a lot of upside for improving on 2024 and clearing 7.5 wins with little difficulty for your NFL picks.

Dallas Cowboys – Over 7.5 Wins

The Dallas Cowboys paid Dak Prescott a record $60 million per season last year only to see him end the year on injured reserve. But even before losing Dak, the Cowboys were going nowhere fast on their way to a 7-10 finish that was at least respectable.

However, the team fired coach Mike McCarthy and is going with Brian Schottenheimer, who has never been a head coach in the NFL before, but he’s obviously grown up around it as the son of the great Marty Schottenheimer, and he’s been an offensive coordinator before. He also has experience on this Dallas staff for the last 3 years, so this promotion should be a smooth transition.

But the Cowboys had too many key injuries last year, as Micah Parsons was also lost for too many games. Just better health alone with their best players could help the Cowboys a great deal, and they won’t have to play a 1st or 2nd-place schedule after missing the playoffs, giving them a few easier games.

They also did a very good job in the draft by getting Tyler Booker for the offensive line, a potential 2nd-round steal in Donovan Ezeiruaku, a perfect edge rusher to pair with Parsons, and they got one of the better corners in the 3rd round in Shavon Revel.

In seasons where he played most of the games, Prescott is 7-for-7 at winning over 7.5 games. Look for Dallas to improve on last year’s record, even if it doesn’t end in a guaranteed playoff spot.

NFC West Top 2 Teams

At Bet365, you can bet on which 2 teams will finish on top of a division in 2025. It does not matter which order they finish between No. 1 and No. 2. They just have to finish in that top 2.

For the NFC West, those top 2 teams should be the 49ers and Rams.

Rams Built to Contend Again

Last year, the Rams won the division, and they’ve added Davante Adams to the wide receivers to replace Cooper Kupp’s sagging production, they have a stud in Puka Nacua, they have loaded up the young talent in the front 7 with Jared Verse winning Defensive Rookie of the Year, and they still have one of the league’s most successful quarterback and coach pairings in Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay.

The Rams came the closest to knocking off the Eagles in the playoffs, which is why they have a real dark horse shot to win the whole thing this year after winning a Super Bowl in 2021. Their draft may not put them over the top like that, but they did get a tight end (Terrance Ferguson) in the 2nd round who could give them an improvement at that position.

San Francisco Poised for a Healthier Bounce Back

The Rams are a good choice to finish in the top 2. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers are coming off a season that was so decimated by injuries that one of their healthiest wide receivers was Ricky Pearsall, and he was shot in a robbery attempt before the season started. That’s how bad it was as they lost Brandon Aiyuk early, George Kittle was banged up, and Christian McCaffrey barely played because of Achilles tendinitis in both legs.

It can’t get any worse in 2025, right? Brock Purdy is eyeing a record contract, they get Aiyuk back, Jauan Jennings has stepped up, and Kittle is still a great tight end. They traded Deebo Samuel to Washington, but there are enough weapons here for coach Kyle Shanahan to do damage with, and yes, CMC should be much more productive this season.

It was the defense that truly let the team down by blowing so many leads in NFC West games last year. Even with all the injuries, this team could have won the division if it had finished better in games. But the draft should be good for the defense as they reloaded the front 7 with talent like edge rusher Mykel Williams, defensive tackle Alfred Collins, and linebacker Nick Martin.

Don’t Buy the Hype on Seahawks or Cardinals

The Seahawks made a lot of changes this year, but it’s hard to be convinced Sam Darnold didn’t have a 1-year wonder type of career year that he’ll never repeat the success of again. The Cardinals have a shot to do something after signing Josh Sweat and drafting more defensive line help, but Kyler Murray has rarely made the big leaps from year to year in his career.

Trust the coaching in McVay and Shanahan. Trust the defensive fronts. Trust Purdy and Stafford. Let’s go with the 49ers and Rams as the top 2 finishers in the West this year.

2025 AFC West – Exact Order

At Bet365, you can bet on the exact order a division will finish in 2025. Nothing feels more reliable right now than the AFC West with the following order:

  1. Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Denver Broncos
  3. Los Angeles Chargers
  4. Las Vegas Raiders

We know the Chiefs have won the AFC West for 9 straight years, going back to 2016, the 2nd-longest streak in NFL history (Patriots won the AFC East 11 years in a row in 2009-19). As long as they have Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, you can’t bet against them doing it again. They also added some smart draft picks in the trenches to get tougher after that Super Bowl blowout.

A Coaching Powerhouse

It’s arguably the greatest division in NFL history from a coaching standpoint with Reid, Jim Harbaugh, and Sean Payton all making the playoffs last year. Now you’re adding a Super Bowl winner in Pete Carroll to the group in Las Vegas.

But let’s switch up the Broncos and Chargers from last year when the Broncos were the last team in the tournament while the Chargers were 11-6 in Harbaugh’s 1st year. Neither won a playoff game, but both have playoff expectations again this year.

Broncos Nail the Draft

For me, the 2025 NFL draft was a great job by the Broncos, who ignored the calls to take a running back in the 1st round. Instead, they took the best slot corner (Jahdae Barron) and could make it even harder to throw against after they already have the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Patrick Surtain II. They also got their running back in Round 2.

Bo Nix had an underrated rookie season as he was overshadowed by the brilliance of Jayden Daniels. He was playing legitimately well down the stretch, and Payton gets a whole offseason to work with him to get better after already making the playoffs in Year 1.

Chargers Take a Step Back

As for the Chargers, they kind of messed up in the draft. They went for the 1st-round running back, and while Omarion Hampton could be a good one, that pick doesn’t maximize their chances to do damage. They also lost Joey Bosa in the pass rush, and the receivers are still suspect after Ladd McConkey. The Chargers could also face more regression to the mean after so few giveaways on offense in 2024.

The Raiders have Geno Smith at quarterback now, reuniting him with Carroll from Seattle, where they made the playoffs in 2022 with a 9-8 record. But Geno is usually going to keep you around .500, and the defense doesn’t have much after Maxx Crosby to show for. The offense has Brock Bowers and now Ashton Jeanty at running back, so that’s exciting. But the wide receivers are lacking.

It should be a quality division to watch in 2025, but give me the Chiefs on top, the Broncos to use their great defense and improved offense to finish 2nd, the Chargers to slip a little to 3rd, and the Raiders to win more games but still finish last.
