The NFL Playoffs are set, and we’ve got six intriguing matchups on the slate! I asked the AI Model for its favorite three bets of the Wild Card Round in the NFL Playoffs. Here’s what you should consider before heading to the top-rated sportsbooks.
Picks Summary
- Chargers -3 (-110) at Bet365 (visit our Bet365 Review)
- Broncos/Bills Over 47.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook (visit our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
- Packers +5 (-110) at Bet365
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Houston Texans
Saturday, January 11, 2025 – 04:30 PM ET at NRG Stadium
The AI Model likes the Chargers to knock off the Texans, 25-19. Yet, you can find the Chargers at -3 in any sportsbook. Consider Los Angeles to beat Houston in the first game of the playoffs.
Is It Time To Worry About The Texans?
The Texans defeated the Titans 23-14 to close out the regular season with ten wins. However, that was behind Davis Mills at quarterback.
The Texans lost to the Chiefs and Ravens in their previous two games and scored just 21 points combined. Throughout the season, they only beat one playoff team. I’d be worried about that, even on the road. This team ultimately lost to the Jets earlier in the season.
Los Angeles Is Clicking
The Los Angeles Chargers have won three consecutive games, scoring at least 34 points in all three. Justin Herbert has been making progress over the last few weeks.
Herbert has added seven touchdowns and one interception passing the football throughout the three-game winning streak. Expect more greatness from Herbert. He’s finally got a coach that he can get far in the playoffs with.
The Pick
Back the Chargers at -3.
NFL Pick: Chargers -3 (-110) at Bet365
Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills
Sunday, January 12, 2025 – 01:00 PM ET at Highmark Stadium
The AI Model predicts the Broncos and Bills will score 51 points in their Wild Card matchup. Meanwhile, the total has been set at 47.5. Take a chance with the Over here.
Bo Nix Has What It Takes!
Bo Nix is certainly in the race for the Rookie of the Year Award this season. Nix was 12th in the NFL in passing yards and finished with 29 passing touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also finished his rookie regular season with 321 yards passing with only three incompletions and four passing touchdowns.
Nix had nine passing touchdowns and one interception in his last three games. He’ll carve up a Buffalo secondary that has played underwhelmingly throughout the entire season.
There’s No Stopping Josh Allen
If you think Nix has good stats, look at what Josh Allen has accomplished. Allen threw for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also added just six interceptions and was second in the NFL in QBR. He also casually scored another 12 times rushing the football and averaged more than five yards a carry on 102 attempts this season.
The Broncos are a difficult defense to figure out. But if there’s ever one player who can figure it out rather easily, it’s Allen.
The Pick
Roll with the Over 47.5 in this game.
NFL Pick: Broncos/Bills Over 47.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday, January 12, 2025 – 04:30 PM ET at Lincoln Financial Field
Our AI Model suggests the Packers will only lose to the Eagles, 26-24. That’s a two-point loss, but you can find the Packers at +5. Green Bay is the play.
Don’t Look At Last Week!
The Green Bay Packers lost to the Chicago Bears, 24-22, in Week 18. However, the Packers ultimately sat Jordan Love for most of the game and didn’t play many starters late in the matchup.
The Packers lost multiple games to close out the season, but they’ll now get those losses out of their system. They certainly have a better quarterback situation right now. Jordan Love threw for nearly 3,400 yards in the air and added 25 passing touchdowns. He’ll likely compete against Jalen Hurts, who only threw for 18 touchdowns.
Hurts has had an up-and-down season. He’s also coming off a concussion, which isn’t too pleasant. Right now, the Eagles say he’s progressing, so he’s not even officially ready to go for this game.
I’d trust the Packers’ offense more in this spot.
Breaking Down The Eagles Defense
It’s no surprise that the Eagles have been one of the best defenses in the NFL. The secondary has held opponents to 176.44 yards per game in the air while the offense has earned 187.31 yards on the ground per game.
The Eagles have literally outgained teams passing with yards on the ground this year. That said, on defense, the Eagles have really struggled to tackle. That’s going to hurt them down the line, especially as the weather gets colder and colder.
Josh Jacobs won’t get the love that Saquon Barkley is getting but Jacobs has been a workhorse and a huge reason for Green Bay’s success.
The Pick
Take the Packers at +5.
