Senators Struggle
The Ottawa Senators have struggled massively on the road this season having had the 3rd worst away record thus far. The Senators have gone 4-8 when playing on the road and have only managed to go 3-7 in their last ten (one game required overtime).
Taking a look at their overall stats, we can see that the Senators have an average offense when it comes to scoring, having had 3.11 goals per game this season. Away from home, they have scored 2.58 goals per game. Defensively, the Senators have allowed 3.07 goals per game (again, middle of the road) and when playing away from home they have allowed 3 goals per game.

Almost the complete opposite of the scale to Ottawa, we have the Carolina Hurricanes, who have dominated on home ice thus far this season, having an overall record sitting at 8-3. The Hurricanes have won 12 of their previous 15 games at home.

Ottawa has started to improve in recent games, having gone 3-1 in their last four. But as we already noted, most of those victories came against weaker teams.
We believe Carolina’s odds to win this game in regulation at -115 NHL betting odds is a really nice play here and some strong value. They are -200 on the moneyline, which is a lot of juice to lay, so consider taking them -115 to win this game in regulation.
