Having started the season 16-3 the Winnipeg Jets are on course for a franchise record if they keep up this win rate. Overall they should look to stay hot and win on the road in this encounter against the lowly Pittsburgh Penguins, maybe that’s a bit harsh.

Check out the best betting odds and lines and top-rated sportsbooks and continue reading to check out why we are big on these two plus-money NHL player props on tonight’s NHL betting card.

Picks Summary

Winnipeg Jets vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Friday, November 22, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at PPG Paints Arena

Jets Flying High

It’s been an absolutely amazing start to the NHL season for the Winnipeg Jets who have gone 16-3 in their first 19 games played, the home team Pittsburgh has gone 7-10-4 overall.

The Jets have the 2nd best offense in terms of goals per game and have the best goaltender in the league in the form of Connor Hellebuyck, who has only allowed 2.20 goals per game and has had 13 wins and 2 losses.

Pittsburgh is having a mediocre season, mid-table in terms of goals allowed and goals per game with 3.10 the average for both. On the flip side, the Penguins are sitting 12th in the Eastern Conference and have lost 4 of their previous 5, also failing to win their one victory in those five within regulation, beating one of the worst teams, San Jose, on penalties.

So that’s the team background, what about our player prop Kyle Connor?

The Pick

Connor has been flying high also this season having had the joint most points along with Mark Scheifele. Both players have 24 points but Connor has dried up somewhat in terms of points scoring, having only had a point in 2 of his previous 7 games (before this cold stretch he had scored a point for 12 consecutive games) we believe he can get back on the scoreboard big tonight with 2+ points.

Recent games have shown he scores in bunches having had 2+ points in six of his previous eight games where he scored at least one point.

We believe the Jets will be way too strong for the Penguins tonight, at the very least win or lose they should score 3, maybe 4 goals and we fancy Connor’s chances of bagging 2+ points in this NHL matchup.

NHL Pick: Kyle Connor Over 1.5 Points (+130) at Bet365

Buffalo Sabres vs. Anaheim Ducks

Friday, November 22, 2024 – 10:00 PM ET at Honda Center

Quack, Quack, Rasmus is Back

That’s right we are looking at the road team’s defender Rasmus Dahlin to bring his gloves to California’s Anaheim Ducks because he didn’t bring them to Los Angeles when the Sabres won 1-0.

Albeit a solid win for his team, Dahlin had one shot in the game, having previously had 3+ shots in 9 of 11 games as well as having had 4+ shots in 57% of those 11 games. This looks like a nice bounce-back spot for Dahlin and his Sabres team will look to get more shots on net tonight, having only had 19 last times out as well as just a 1-0 victory.

Yes, a win is a win but 1-0 is by the skin of your teeth, especially when they were outside massively by their opponents. Dahlin has had a respectable 3+ shots in 50% of his career games vs the Kings and tonight we like the odds on him to do so again.

The Pick

Maybe it’s because of his poor performance recently or his 2.4 road shots per game compared to 3.2 at home, but we believe the +100 odds on Dahlin to be a solid set of odds for him to see 3+ shots in this road game, with a lot of value we believe its betable down to -120.

Dahlin has been shooting lots recently, we believe last night was a blip and he should get back to shooting ways in this NHL matchup. Let’s not forget that Dahlin is the Sabres’ top shottaker and has stepped up since Tage Thompson went out injured.

NHL Pick: Rasmus Dahlin Over 2.5 Shots (+100) at Bet365
