With 10 games on tonight’s NHL betting card, it was easy for us to zone in on the best selection and betting picks. Ahead of tonight’s action, we are targeting three markets.
Firstly, we are expecting goals in Ottawa as Buffalo comes to town. Our second selection tonight is a player prop, and we are riding Jordan Kyrou to get on the scoreboard tonight. Finally, the Edmonton Oilers are plus money to win on the road.
Picks Summary
- Sabres-Senators Over 6 (-110)
- Jordan Kyrou Anytime Goalscorer (+140)
- Edmonton Oilers (+150)

Buffalo Sabres vs. Ottawa Senators
Tuesday, April 01, 2025 – 07:00 PM EDT at Canadian Tire Centre
Buffalo Continue to Produce High Scoring Games
We have been saying it all season long, and it still stands, when the Buffalo Sabres are involved, expect goals. Buffalo have seen the most amount of games go over the total thus far this season, having gone 42-22-7 to the over (even more impressively is the fact the majority of those games would have had a 6 or 6.5 line).
In their previous 10 NHL games, the Buffalo Sabres have seen an average of 8 goals scored per game, and even their previous three games before this matchup produced double digit goals, having had 13/11 and 10 goals in each of their previous three NHL matchups.
The Pick
The Ottawa Senators might not have the best stats when it comes to the total going over, and even their previous four games against the Sabres produced less than six goals. With that being said, we do like the -110 NHL betting odds for a 6 goal line here for a possible push.
With the rate Buffalo is scoring and allowing goals lately, we have to suspect that we will see at least six goals scored in this NHL game. Either way, we like the odds and would happily bet this line down to -125.
NHL Pick: Over 6 (-110) at Bet365
Detroit Red Wings vs. St. Louis Blues
Tuesday, April 01, 2025 – 08:00 PM EDT at Enterprise CenterÂ
Kyrou Top Blues Goalscorer
The Louis Blues have been on one hell of a run, going 9-0 in their previous nine NHL games. They have somehow managed to pull themselves into a playoff position, and if they continue to keep this form up for the remaining weeks, they will be in the post-season.
Elsewhere opponents Detroit are already in must win mode if they wish to make the playoffs, it’s a tight battle for the wild card position in the Eastern Conference.
Tonight, we are targeting Jordan Kyrou to score for the first time in two games. Kyrou has been the Blues’ joint 2nd highest points scorer overall this season and their top goalscorer.
Kyrou has ended the previous two regular seasons as the Blues’ top goalscorer but, interestingly, has faced tonight’s opponents 7 times throughout his NHL career and failed to score, could tonight be the night?
The Pick
Detroit is in desperation mode right now, whilst the Blues are on easy street these days, dominating the league with their nine game winning streak. We like the NHL top-rated sportsbooks’ odds on Jordan Kyrou to score anytime at +140 NHL betting odds.
Kyrou has scored in 4 of the Blues 9 game winning streak and has contributed seven goals in the same timeframe. We would happily bet Kyrou down to as low as +125 to score on home ice.
NHL Pick: Jordan Kyrou Anytime Goalscorer (+140) at Bet365
Edmonton Oilers vs. Vegas Golden Knights
Tuesday, April 01, 2025 – 10:00 PM EDT at T-Mobile Arena
Oilers Not to Be Underestimated
Despite the Oilers having gone 5-5 across their last 10 games and the opponents, Vegas having gone on a 6-0 winning streak, we feel there could be an upset on the cards here tonight, especially when looking at the NHL betting odds on the moneyline.
The Oilers must win if they wish to avoid the Dallas Stars or possibly even tonight’s opponents in the first round of the playoffs. Having started the season so strong, the Oilers are starting to fade away, especially on the road, where they have only won 3 of their previous 10 games.
On home ice, the Vegas Golden Knights are 8-2 in their last 10 games, so we are asking for a big Favor from the Oilers tonight, but either way, they need to start winning, and we have value on our side.
The Pick
At +150 NHL betting odds, we believe the Oilers are value to win here, despite their terrible form lately and their opponents strong form, upsets do and can happen and when they do its best to be on the plus money side of that upset.
Admittedly, the Oilers are without Connor McDavid and a few other players, but they need a win from somewhere, and we would happily bet them down to as low as +140 to win this road game.
NHL Pick: Edmonton Oilers at +150 at Bet365
