Must Win Game For Vancouver
The Vancouver Canucks come into tonight’s game needing to win with the playoffs close approaching they currently sit just one position outside of a playoff spot, with one game in hand they are currently three points behind the St Louis Blues for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Canucks have struggled lately going 5-5 across their previous ten games, but not as bad as their opponents Columbus who are only 2-8 across their previous 10 NHL games. Despite the Canucks going 4-6 in their previous 10 games against the Blue Jackets, it must be noted the Canucks have gone 4-2 against Columbus in their previous six matchups.
This is a must win game for the Vancouver Canucks, and they come into this game off the back of two wins in a row to keep themselves alive in the playoffs, a win tonight would give them a big boost towards qualifying for the post-season.
The Pick
Although Vancouver are on the road here, we still like the idea of only laying -110 NHL betting odds for the Canucks to win this game on the road and we would happily go as low as -125/130 against this Columbus team.
Overall this season the Canucks have had the 3rd best road record in the Western Conference, and whilst the Blue Jackers have held down the 6th best home position in the Eastern Conference, it has to be noted that the Blue Jackets have had the 12th best record (out of 16 teams) across their previous ten home games.

Bedard Is Here To Play
Despite the Chicago Blackhawks being heavy underdogs on home ice tonight, we actually believe they could sneak a win here, or at the very least give the Golden Knights a competitive game.
For this reason, we believe that the Blackhawks’ main points scorer, Connor Bedard, is well worth backing to get on the scoreboard tonight at plus money. The 19 year old Bedard has been a sensation since joining Chicago last season.
In his sophomore season, Bedard has already scored five points more than in his debut season. With ten possible games left to play, he should clear his record from last season by 10 points or more if he stays healthy.
All said and done, the kid has stepped up as best he can, despite having had one of the worst teams in the NHL.
The Pick
On home ice, Bedard has proven to be slightly better, having had 7 points more throughout his short NHL career thus far, and tonight we believe he is a good set of odds to get at least one point in this matchup at +105 NHL betting odds.
Bedard has proven he can score points, and there is no doubt about it. He would have way more NHL career points had he been playing with a top team.
The Blackhawks have been bad for years and still managed to get 5 goals against the Golden Knights in their previous two games. We believe tonight they should get at least two, maybe even three or four goals. If they get three points, we expect at least one of those to come from Bedard.
