Not only is Nylander on fire, but the Detroit Red Wings allow 3 goals per game, which is respectable thus far, the Red Wings might have only allowed 2.3 goals per game on the road, but it must be quietly noted Chicago, New York Islanders and Nashville were their opponents. All three teams rank inside the top 6 lowest goalscorers in the league.

A team like Toronto and a player like Nylander should be able to keep them at arm’s length and we believe Nylander has stepped up to the plate thus far this season and could be in for his best year yet. He is projected to have 88 points this season, which would make it his 2nd best regular season all time (behind his 98 last year).

Minnesota are an average team, at around the 9th-15th best in the NHL, but their standout player both last season and thus far this season. Kaprizov ended last season as their top points scorer and was only 1 assist behind their assist leader.
The season before he did the same again, and ended as their top points scorer and second highest assister (lost that to Matts Zuccarello on both occasions). The season before that? 108 points (the 4th highest that season) and the highest assister on the team, so yeah you get the picture; the Wilds’ best player is one of the best in the league, and maybe doesn’t get fully appreciated compared to the likes of Auston Matthews or Connor McDavid, but this kid can play at a high level.
Thus far this season, Kaprizov has scored at least one point in 9 of 13 games played and scored 2+ points in 8 of those 12 games, including a seven-game 2+ goal-scoring streak (no mean feat).

Kaprizov has now failed to score in two games, but we found some nice odds available at -110 for him to score over 0.5 assists in this game. We can’t see Kaprizov going another game without at least a point, but we are looking to specifically target his assist line.
Kaprizov is as low as -135 to score at least one point in tonight’s game against the Anaheim Ducks. We haven’t even mentioned the fact that the Ducks have allowed 3 goals per game thus far this season and Kaprizov has a decent return of 10 assists in 17 games against them in the past.
Kaprizov is also on a three game streak for scoring and assists against the Ducks and has scored at least one assist in 6 of the previous 7 against the same opposition.
Kaprizov to score 2+ points in tonight’s matchup could also be very tempting at +125 considering he tends to score in bunches. As much as we love this bet, stay steady on the odds at -110, maximum lay we would consider is -115.
