Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are currently 9-4 and 3rd in the NFC North. Yet they are considered one of the top teams in the league; they just happen to play in the toughest division. The Packers are a talented, well-rounded team that can pose a threat to any opponent. They will look to bounce back after a Thursday night loss to the Detroit Lions last week.
Green Bay had a three-game winning streak coming into the 34-31 loss to Detroit. Green Bay has been beset with some injuries, as WR Romeo Doubs and CB Jaire Alexander are both questionable. Both are key pieces to the Packers team. But every team is beat up this year and the Packers will look to get back on track in a road game in which they are favored.
The Packers are led by Jordan Love, who is having an outstanding season. Love has passed for 2724 yards with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Love can throw some of the best throws in football and has an amazing arm with great accuracy. However, he can also be reckless with a ball, sometimes trying to force it and making ill-advised throws. Love will need to rein in his penchant for interceptions if the Packers are going to make a run this season.
The Packers have benefited from the Jets’ ineptitude. The Jets fired coach Robert Saleh this season and Saleh is now helping out with the Packers team. Saleh is an excellent defensive mind and has been helping the Packers shore up their concepts on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. An already well-coached team got a boost from the Jets’ mistake.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks will be looking for their fifth win in a row. The Seahawks have moved into first place in the NFC West with two wins over the Cardinals and one win over the San Francisco 49ers.
The Seahawks now are in control of their future, and if they win out on the remaining schedule, they will win the NFC West. However, that will be a tough task as is obvious when looking at the matchup in this exciting game.
The Seahawks looked vulnerable this year after suffering many injuries on the defensive side of the ball but now they’re getting healthy and the defense is playing excellently. The Seahawks have allowed 21 points or less in their last four games and they have been playing much better against the run. With the Seahawks’ defense rounding into form, there is less pressure on the offense and the team is more balanced. This allows Seattle to lean into their run game and they are better able to control the clock.
The Seahawks have an excellent group of skill players. They have three top wide receivers and two excellent running backs. Running back Kenneth Walker is a star, but he might miss the game due to injury. Even if he does, the Seahawks have Zach Charbonnet, who was fantastic in the win over the Cardinals. Charbonnet ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns in the win and if Walker is injured for this game, Charbonnet will definitely receive another heavy workload.

Green Bay’s Offensive Line vs. Seattle’s Defensive Line
The Seattle Seahawks’ improvement against the run will be tested in this game. Green Bay has an excellent offensive line and a powerhouse running back in Josh Jacobs.
The Seahawks are going to have to continue their recent trend of limiting their opponents’ rushing yards, and this will be their toughest test yet.
If the Seahawks are able to shut down the solid running game of the Packers, they can turn the Packers offense one-dimensional and possibly force Jordan Love to make some passing mistakes. If the Packers are able to establish the ground game, they have a great chance to win the game and cover the spread.
The Pick
The Seahawks are getting healthy at the right time and their ability to run the ball and stop the run cannot be discounted. Although Green Bay has the more high-profile players and team, the Seahawks are quietly an efficient squad of their own. The Seahawks will continue their winning streak and get another win at home.
The Seahawks have an excellent home-field advantage and this will be on display in this wild Sunday night atmosphere.
