There are two NLDS Game 2’s on the menu today. We’ve plugged both matchups into our computers and provided our favorite two evening bets. Here’s one of two bets to consider for tonight’s action, with the best MLB odds we could find at top sportsbooks.
The AI Model suggests the Dodgers will come out on top against the Padres, 4.5-3.4, in tonight’s NLDS matchup. With the Dodgers at -140 on Caesars, the moneyline is the play in this one.

Yu Darvish Isn’t The Same
The Padres will run it back with Yu Darvish. The veteran right-handed pitcher hasn’t had the most success against lefties since returning from injury. Instead, he’s allowed a .257 ISO and wOBA of .311 to his last 40 lefties. He’s also given up a 14.8% barrel percentage to lefties and has allowed more than 33% of fly balls to lefties.
That’s ideal for Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Max Muncy. Those three stars can undoubtedly take advantage of Darvish’s struggles against lefties.
After all, Ohtani has hit a .403 ISO and wOBA of .546 against righties over the last month. Freeman has barely struck out and has walked more than 17% of the time over the previous 30 days, and Muncy has crushed a .167 ISO and wOBA of .379 against his last 58 righties.
Can Jack Flaherty Flip The Switch?
The Dodgers will give Jack Flaherty the ball tonight. He’s a righty pitcher who has also struggled against righties.
But he’ll only really have to worry about Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado. If he can pitch around those two or even add some strikeouts against them, Flaherty won’t get damaged much in this game.
Tatis Jr. and Machado both have strikeout rates of 23.7% or above, but Flaherty has struck out 31.6% of righties this season, which is an advantage for Flaherty.
