Andrew Heaney Looks Dominant
The Texas Rangers will give Andrew Heaney the ball today. The left-hander has struck out more than 32% of batters over the last month and has held his previous 106 batters to a .134 ISO and wOBA of .278 with only 4.7% of walks.
Heaney is in line to face a Mariners lineup that has struck out more than 24% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days. The lineup also has five batters with a wOBA of no better than .285 against lefties in the previous month.
George Kirby Isn’t The Same
The Mariners aren’t getting the same production they got from George Kirby last season. Kirby has only struck out 19.3% of batters over the previous 30 days. He’s also allowed an ISO of .229 and a wOBA of .359 to his last 119 batters.
While the Rangers don’t have much offense against righties, Marcus Semien, Wyatt Langford, and Ezequiel Duran have added above-average numbers over the last month.
