After a fun first night of postseason baseball, we’re back with another three bets from our computers for today’s four Wild Card matchups. Here’s one of the bets you’ll want to consider, with the best MLB odds we could find at top sportsbooks.
The AI Model likes the Royals to knock off the Orioles, 4.5-4.3, in Game 2 of the playoffs. A win from the Royals today would finish this series and allow them to advance to the next round. You can find them at +140 via Caesars at this time.

Kansas City Royals vs. Baltimore Orioles
Wednesday, October 02, 2024 – 04:38 PM ET at Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Seth Lugo’s Consistency Is Real
Seth Lugo will take the hill for the Royals today. He’s a right-handed pitcher who has held his last 106 batters to a .090 ISO and wOBA of .237 in the previous 30 days.
Lugo also limited teams to 20% of line drives then and gave up just a 6.7% barrel percentage. It’s been hard to hit Lugo all year. It’s why he was an All-Star this season.
Meanwhile, the Orioles have a lineup filled with hot and cold hitters. The Orioles have four batters who haven’t hit righties well lately and five who have. But those guys who haven’t will likely be rally killers.
Eflin Can’t Keep Up
The Orioles will throw veteran righty Zach Eflin. Eflin is a right-handed batter who has allowed a .245 ISO and wOBA of .325 to his last 59 lefties.
The Royals should have at least four lefties in the lineup, including Michael Massey and Vinnie Pasquantino. Even Kyle Isbel has hit well against righties as a left-handed batter over the last month.
Kansas City has a significant edge offensively today.
