It’ll be Cole Ragans in Game 1 for the Royals. The young lefty has held batters to a .072 ISO and wOBA of .243 over the last 30 days.
However, he’s also walked 11.6% of batters and has given up 29% of fly balls to righties over the last month. If Ragans misses the zone early and starts to walk some batters, the Orioles can take advantage of Ragans and earn some runs.
It’s Time For Bobby Witt To Stop Up
The Orioles will ride Game 1 with Corbin Burnes. The ace pitcher has been terrific over the last 30 days, but he’s still allowed a .154 ISO to his previous 42 righties.
Bobby Witt Jr. has so much potential to be a table setter and set the tone for the Royals’ offense. Witt Jr. has added a .384 wOBA against righties over the last month and has struck out only 11.5% of the time.
