We’re headed to the Divisional Series in the American and National Leagues. With four games on the menu, I’ve added three of our computers‘ favorite bets of the day. Here’s one of three bets you’ll want to consider. When the AI Model and I agree, it’s a beautiful thing!

The AI Model suggests the Royals and Yankees will combine for 8.3 runs. Yet, the total is only at 7.5 via Caesars. The Royals should keep tonight’s game close. Therefore, consider the Over 7.5 as the best value play in this game.

Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees

Saturday, October 05, 2024 – 06:38 PM ET at Yankee Stadium

Can We Really Trust Michael Wacha?

It’s been a Cinderella season for the Royals and Michael Wacha. Nobody expected Kansas City to be in this position in the playoffs, but here they are.

That said, Michael Wacha is the No. 3 pitcher on the Royals. While he’s been excellent, he’s still allowed nearly 39% of hard contact, with only 40.3% of ground balls and 32.3% of fly balls.

The Yankees, especially with Aaron Judge, have much power to take advantage of Wacha. If Wacha continues to allow a high rate of fly balls, he’ll struggle to get the Yankees out.

Gerrit Cole Will Falter Eventually

Gerrit Cole is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Make no mistake. But in big moments, he typically lets the Yankees down. He’ll probably give up a home run or two and just have one bad inning derailing his entire start.

That’s common for Cole.

Michael Massey, Bobby Witt Jr., and Kyle Isbel are names to watch for the Royals tonight.

MLB Computer Pick

Thanks to the AI Model, we’ll take the Over 7.5 in this one.
