The San Francisco Giants will face Keider Montero of the Tigers. While the Giants’ offense isn’t the most consistent, the lineup has several consistent hitters, such as Tyler Fitzgerald, Matt Chapman, and Mike Yastrezemski.
They’ll battle Montero, who is a righty, allowing a .268 ISO and wOBA of .390 to his last 120 batters. Montero has a low strikeout rate and has allowed more than 29% of line drives.
The Giants will find a way to score, just like most teams that face Montero.
Detroit Just Needs A Couple
With Hayden Birdsong on the mound for the Giants, the Tigers will likely strike out at a high rate. But Birdsong has still struggled against lefties lately, allowing a .225 ISO and wOBA of .327 to his last 49.
The Tigers should have more lefties than righties in the lineup. That’ll help them scratch and claw for a couple of runs.
