No Problem For The Mariners
Keider Montero will take the hill for the Tigers. He’s a righty who has allowed a .239 ISO and wOBA of .367 to his last 120 batters. Montero doesn’t add a bunch of strikeouts and has allowed more than 26% of line drives.
The Mariners have struck out frequently over the last month, but Montero won’t suddenly become a strikeout king tonight. Seattle should make plenty of hard-hit contact to add some runs to the scoreboard.
Detroit Can Scratch Out Some Runs, Too
Luis Castillo is scheduled to pitch for the Mariners. He’s been good lately, holding a .086 ISO and wOBA of .271 against his last 101 batters. However, Castillo has only struck out 18.8% of batters and has allowed a high rate of line drives to lefties over the last month.
Detroit’s lefties have hit a .190 ISO and wOBA of .391 against righties over the last 30 days. The Tigers can earn a couple of runs tonight, too.
