The Denver Nuggets will have a shot at clinching the number one seed in the Western Conference tonight when they travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns. This will be no easy task because the Suns are playing some of the best basketball in the NBA right now. The Phoenix Suns have won six straight games. Four of those games were won by double digits and in two of the games the Suns won by 20 points or more.
The Phoenix Suns are 43-35 on the year and are about to clinch the number four seed in the West. They are 7-0 when Kevin Durant is in the lineup. Even though the Suns are in fourth place they are favored to win the West by the NBA odds.
The Nuggets are 2-1 against the Suns this season. Phoenix won the most recent game 100-93 on March 31st. However, Nuggets starter Nikola Jokic missed the game due to a calf injury. The Nuggets might be missing another star tonight as well. Guard Jamal Murray sprained his thumb. Murray will probably miss the rest of the regular season. The Nuggets are on top of the West but have not been playing well lately. They are 6-8 over the past 4 weeks.
The Nuggets’ most recent game was a 124-103 loss to the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are one of the worst teams in the league, so this was a tough loss for Denver. They will look to get back on track tonight.

Devin Booker has played excellent basketball and runs perfectly next to Kevin Durant. With defenses focusing on Durant, Booker has even more room to run his unique brand of offense.

The Miami Heat are currently in seventh place. They look to improve on that to avoid the Play-In tournament. To do so, they’re going to have to get tough wins such as tonight when they head to Philadelphia to take on the Sixers.
The Heat are 42-37 on the year and are one game behind the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets own the tiebreaker against Miami so the Heat would have to exceed their record, and a tie will go to Brooklyn. Miami needs to win tonight if they’re going to avoid the Play-In tournament.
The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off one of their biggest wins of the year when they defeated the Boston Celtics 103-101 on Tuesday night. The 76ers are now within two games of the Boston Celtics for the number two seed in the east. For the 76ers to catch the Celtics they will have to win the remainder of their games.

With so much on the line for Miami, tonight’s game should have a playoff atmosphere. That means the pace will be slower and the defense will be more intense. James Harden has been more of a facilitator than the scorer for the 76ers and with the increased defensive intensity I expect a lower output for him on the points tonight.
Harden has gone under tonight’s point total in five of his last six games. He has been content to feed his center and rack up assists.

The Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs are both having disappointing seasons. Both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs. Tonight they will face each other in Austin, Texas as the NBA attempts to showcase teams in arenas not based in the cities in which they play. This will be a two-game stretch of games played in Austin for the Spurs.

Zach Collins was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers but now plays in San Antonio. Collins has been getting playing time as of late and has responded well. Tonight he has an opportunity to be one of the best players on the floor as the Trail Blazers are sitting most of their best players. This will give Collins a big advantage in the middle where he can score and grab rebounds.
Zach Collins has not been putting up huge numbers this season but tonight he has a great chance to exceed his normal output. At plus money of NBA odds, we are getting a great price on Zach Collins to record a double-double
