The previous three games between Florida and Toronto have ended with the road team coming away with a victory as well as having cashed in 50% of the previous ten.
That said we don’t expect a road victory tonight, as the Florida Panthers come into this game having had less rest after they went all the way to game seven to knock out the pre-playoff favorites the Boston Bruins.
Toronto Finally Make it Past the First Round
Tonight’s game marks the first Toronto Maple Leafs 2nd round game since 2004, after having suffered one of the longest droughts in playoff history, the Maple Leafs have finally broken their first-round duck.
Can they now go all the way to becoming Stanley Cup champions? The sportsbooks believe it’s possible, as they are now +350 favorites to lift this season’s Stanley Cup.

Admittedly, this is the playoffs, and covering the -1.5 PK line is harder than you might think, but at +150 for the Maple Leafs to do so tonight, we believe there is some value here. Not only are they more rested and better equipped to deal with the Panthers than the Bruins, but it helps that our computer is also predicting the home team to win by 2+ goals.
The Florida Panthers ranked as the third-worst team in the regular season ATS and even failed to cover it in all three losses against the Bruins in the previous round.
We are comfortably taking the Leafs on home ice at these great betting odds to cover the spread.

Seattle Kraken vs. Dallas Stars

Seattle Kraken Shock Colorado
Nobody expected the Seattle Kraken to advance past the current Stanley Cup holders Colorado Avalanche in the previous round. Having taken it all the way to Game 7, the Kraken are now in their first-ever second round of the playoffs, following their first-ever playoff series win.
Entering Game 1, the Kraken were +190 to advance past the Avalanche, and even when it was tied 3-3, they were as high as +185 with some sportsbooks.
Stars Face Another Defensive Juggernaut
The Dallas Stars faced a tough matchup in round one as they ran into one of the best defenses in the league (besides themselves) in the Minnesota Wild, which they disposed of in 6 games.
Just 2 of those 6 games saw the over 5.5 goals cash, and given just one of the Kraken’s opening seven games saw 6+ goals, we are confident this could be another low-scoring series.

The Seattle Kraken have been amazing in the first period this postseason and they have scored the first goal of the game on all six occasions, with a 100% hit rate this postseason.
Despite the computer predicting a Dallas Stars 3-2 victory, we like the Kraken to start strong yet again and look for them to win the first period at +130 1P ML odds.
Seattle rank as the best ATS team in the 1P this season having gone 54-35 compared to the Stars 12th best 46-42.
