The Minnesota Twins will ride Bailey Ober tonight. He’s a righty who has held his last 129 batters to a .068 ISO and wOBA of .194.
These are ace-like stats, especially with his 26.4% of strikeouts and 7.8% of walks last month.
The Padres won’t be an easy matchup for Ober. However, San Diego is aggressive at the plate, which is good since Ober has allowed just 14.3% of line drives over the last month.
Minnesota Has the Better Matchup
The Minnesota Twins get to face a lefty in Martin Perez tonight. Perez has allowed a .178 ISO to his last 82 righties. He’s also allowed 48.4% of hard contact over the previous month and has given up 28.3% of fly balls to righties.
