Can Pablo Lopez Turn Things Around?
It hasn’t been Pablo Lopez’ year. However, the right-handed ace will face an Athletics lineup that has struck out 25.1% of the time over the last 30 days against righties.
Oakland has six batters with strikeout rates of at least 29.2% in the last 30 days. That should help Lopez get out of his funk.
Minnesota’s Lineup Is Lethal
While the Athletics have struggled to hit, the Twins have been the opposite against lefties.
Minnesota’s lineup has hit a .202 ISO and wOBA of .377 against lefties in the last month. They’ll face Hogan Harris of the Athletics, who has allowed a .234 ISO to his last 85 batters faced.
The Twins will hit plenty of power, even in Oakland. After all, they’ve got six batters hitting an above-average ISO over the last 30 days and only one batter striking out more than 21.4% of the time against lefties.
Minnesota will put the ball in play and hit with power.
