Joe Ryan Is On The Mound
The Minnesota Twins will send Joe Ryan to the mound tonight. He’s struggled against lefties over the last 30 days but is facing an Arizona lineup that has hit a .119 ISO with its left-handed bats against righties over the last month.
If he can escape damage against lefties, Ryan will pitch very well against this Arizona lineup, despite being on the road. Arizona only has four batters hitting an ISO of better than 150 over the last month against righties.
Better Matchups For Minnesota
The Diamondbacks will counter with Brandon Pffadt. He’s a righty who has allowed a .197 ISO and wOBA of .407 to his last 66 lefties.
Unfortunately for him, lefties in the Twins’ lineup have combined to hit a .199 ISO and wOBA of .357 with just 17% of strikeouts. That’s a major difference compared to the lefties in the Arizona lineup.
