Don’t Sleep On Simeon Woods Richardson
The Minnesota Twins are getting terrific pitching from Simeon Woods Richardson. The young righty has earned 24.1% of strikeouts over the last 30 days and has held opponents to a .291 wOBA.
That’s not someone you’d want to bet against. Ultimately, the Diamondbacks’ projected lineup has only hit a .148 ISO against righties over the last month and has struck out nearly 21% of the time.
Ryne Nelson Is Way Worse
Woods Richardson will face Ryne Nelson of the Diamondbacks. That said, Nelson has struggled more. While he’s only allowed a .306 wOBA, righties have hit a .235 ISO and wOBA of .363 over the last month.
In addition, Nelson has earned just 12.5% of strikeouts in the last 30 days and figures to allow more hard-hit balls into play.
The Pick
Minnesota’s lineup has hit a .200 ISO and wOBA of .366 against righties over the last month. The Twins have also struck fewer times and have Royce Lewis, who has destroyed righties as a righty over the last month.
I’ll back the Twins as home favorites.
