Luis Gil’s Is Still Hard To Hit
The Yankees will pitch Luis Gil tonight. While the right-hander has walked 16.1% of batters over the last month, he’s still struck out more than 24% of batters while earning 27.7% of whiffs.
Against a Mariners team that strikes out a lot, Gil could escape damage with his strikeout potential. He’ll just need to limit the walks better.
Watch Out For Aaron Judge
Bryan Woo will take the bump for the Mariners. The right-hander has still allowed a .267 ISO to righties, along with 36.4% of fly balls.
Additionally, he’s allowed a 13.6% barrel percentage to righties and has given up a BABIP of only .128. With these stats, Woo’s luck will eventually run out.
