Dosunmu should remain a viable fantasy alternative across all formats as long as he remain in a starting role with Chicago.

His assist numbers remain serviceable but when he is offering basically nothing else, managers are likely going to be better served by scouring the waiver wire for a player with more upside.

It's been a nice run of 12-team value for the rookie, something that could come to an end should his playing time fall to fewer than 25 minutes per night. With that being said, managers holding Dosunmu might want to wait to see how things play out over the next game or two before making any moves.

Dosunmu will be utilized as Chicago's backup point guard moving forward, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Alex Caruso was moved into the starting lineup for Monday's game against Toronto, and after the game, head coach Billy Donovan stated that this is likely a long-term decision. He also noted that the move had nothing to do with Dosunmu's recent performance, stating the rookie guard has been "incredible," per Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago. Dosunmu still managed to log 24 minutes off the bench in Monday's victory and figures to see plenty of opportunities to develop as the regular season winds down.

Dosunmu was held to just four points in 29 minutes Friday against the Suns and has struggled to an average of 10 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists over his last seven contests. Now that Caruso has been able to acclimate to game action, Dosunmu could remain a permanent fixture on the bench going forward.

He did finish with 15 points and six assists against Utah on Wednesday, but prior to that he had just six points on 3-of-9 shooting, to go with two assists and two rebounds, in the Bulls' loss to Sacramento on Monday.

Dosunmu did a little bit of everything in the win as he continues to post solid numbers amid Chicago's backcourt absences. Although Alex Caruso returned to action, Dosunmu still held down the fort as Lonzo Ball's (knee) direct pivot. As Caruso gets back into playing mode, both Dosunmu and Coby White could be negatively affected.

The rookie also led the team in plus-minus on Wednesday (plus-14), and he's handled the team's starting point guard duties well as Lonzo Ball (knee) and Alex Caruso (wrist) work their way back from injuries. Dosunmu will look to have another positive impact when the Bulls host Cleveland on Saturday.

The rookie immediately recaptured his spot in the starting five and saw heavy playing time in both contests, as he also played 42 minutes in Friday's 134-122 win over the Timberwolves. Chicago is likely to be without all of Zach LaVine (knee), Lonzo Ball (knee), Alex Caruso (wrist), Patrick Williams (wrist) and Javonte Green (foot) through the All-Star break, so Dosunmu should be in store for elevated playing time and usage for at least the Bulls' final two games of the first half.

He continues to impress with his extra minutes while Lonzo Ball (knee) and Alex Caruso (wrist) are sidelined. The rookie is averaging 12.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 triples across 36.8 minutes in his previous seven contests.

Dosunmu amassed seven points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 130-116 win over the Trail Blazers.

The Bulls fell behind early but rallied back behind a huge second quarter in which they outscored the Blazers 44-30 to take an eight-point lead into halftime. Scoring-wise, Dosunmu didn't offer much, but he set a new career high with 11 assists and added a pair of steals to salvage a solid fantasy effort. Even with Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan both healthy, Dosunmu continues to play a major role in the absences of Alex Caruso (wrist) and Lonzo Ball (knee). The rookie has seen at least 30 minutes in 10 straight games.

Dosunmu finished Friday's 131-122 loss to the Spurs with 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Dosunmu finished Friday's loss with a somewhat well-rounded effort, more in line with what we should expect from him moving forward. His form has been hot and cold over the past two weeks, providing fantasy managers with more questions than answers. It appears the playing time is here to stay and so that alone lands him as a 12-team asset moving forward.

Chicago welcomed back two starters (Zach LaVine and Javonte Green) from multi-game absences due to injury while another rested (DeMar DeRozan), but Dosunmu was able to stick on the top unit over Coby White, who served as the sixth man. Troy Brown will presumably move back to the bench when DeRozan returns to action Wednesday versus Toronto, but Dosunmu made a strong case to remain with the starters ahead of White on the strength of another red-hot shooting performance. While starting the past six contests, Dosunmu has turned in excellent averages of 15.0 points, 6.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2.0 triples, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks in 38.5 minutes per game. However, the scoring and three-point production in particular doesn't look sustainable, given that it's come on the back of 62.7 percent shooting from the field and 54.5 percent shooting from distance. Dosunmu wasn't regarded as an elite shooter coming out of college -- which is reflected in his poor 60.5 percent rate from the free-throw line on the season -- s

Dosunmu has been trusted with a starting role due to Zach LaVine's knee injury, and the rookie out of Illinois has adjusted surprisingly well to this new role, even if it's going to be for a short period of time. He's scored at least 15 points in each of his last three games, all of them as a starter, while shooting 76.7 percent from the field in that span. He's likely to regress at some point and that should happen sooner than later, but Dosunmu should be a must-add player if he remains available on the waiver wire of your fantasy league.

Dosunmu amassed 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and five steals in 38 minutes during Monday's 119-106 loss to the Grizzlies.

Dosunmu had the best game of his career Monday, delivering a double-double while adding seven defensive counters. While this is obviously not sustainable, he is locked in for a substantial role for the foreseeable future. As long as he is getting more than 30 minutes per night, fantasy managers should absolutely grab him in all standard formats.

Dosunmu notched 21 points (9-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt), four rebounds and 10 assists in 40 minutes during Saturday's 114-112 loss to Boston.

Dosunmu jumped to the starting lineup with Zach LaVine (knee) sidelined and thrived, missing just one shot from the field en route to his highest scoring output of the campaign. The former Illinois standout should remain a starter as long as LaVine is out, so this means he is expected to have an uptick in both minutes and performance at least on a short-term scenario.

Dosunmu will start Saturday's game against the Celtics.

The rookie gets the nod with the Bulls severely shorthanded in the backcourt. In his two previous starts, he averaged 8.0 points, 5.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 38.0 minutes.

Dosunmu ended Friday's 138-96 loss to the Warriors with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and two rebounds in 32 minutes.

Dosunmu saw an uptick in playing time after Zach LaVine (knee) exited Friday's game, but he had a limited impact as the Bulls' offense struggled to keep up with the Warriors. In spite of his lackluster performance Friday, the 21-year-old could take on a starting role Saturday against Boston since the Bulls are shorthanded in the backcourt.

Dosunmu was fantastic off the bench for the Bulls, continuing to flash some very real upside. Derrick Jones Jr. was given the starting nod but failed to produce in his 16 minutes, instead allowing Dosunmu to step into a larger role. Those in standard leagues should just keep an eye on his role as we move through the next couple of weeks, in case he is able to solidify a 20+ minute role.

Zach LaVine, Troy Brown and Matt Thomas were among the players who also returned from multi-game absences Sunday, and Chicago will eventually get Derrick Jones (hamstring), Alex Caruso (foot) and Lonzo Ball (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) back at some point over the next two weeks. As a result, Dosunmu is more likely to see his playing-time outlook take a hit rather than improve.

Thus far, the second-round pick out of Illinois hasn't played enough to warrant consideration in season-long leagues, but he could be worth a stream with DeRozan and Caruso each expected to miss multiple games going forward.

Dosunmu will start Monday's game against the Nuggets.

Dosunmu was the only member of the second unit to connect on more than two shots in the contest. The rookie logged a team-high plus-22 during his time on the floor. Dosunmu and veteran JaVonte Green have primarily absorbed Patrick Williams' (wrist) minutes, and although Green currently has the lion's share, Dosunmu has shown flashes and will likely see his role increase throughout the season.

Dosunmu recorded 14 points (6-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes off the bench in Monday's win over the Celtics.

Dosunmu had scored 13 combined points over his first five appearances this season, but he made the most of the opportunity Monday and posted a career-high output while making all six of his shots. However, the rarely gets enough playing time to make an impact and this performance might be an outlier rather than the norm going forward.

Dosunmu signed a two-year deal with the Bulls on Wednesday.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the deal is reportedly worth $2.48 million -- all guaranteed. The 38th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft performed well in Summer League, averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Dosunmu gives the Bulls additional depth at the guard position, and he may be able to contribute right away as a reserve heading into the 2021-22 season.
