Keep up with the latest injuries from the Bulls vs Hornets game on Friday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 8, 2025
Misses practice Monday
Dosunmu missed practice Monday due to his sprained thumb, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is scheduled to see a doctor at some point soon, according to coach Billy Donovan. Dosunmu wasn't able to play Friday against the Pacers due to this injury, but returned to action Sunday against the Warriors and struggled with four points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists and four rebounds in 27 minutes. Fortunately for Chicago, their next game isn't until Friday against Charlotte.
Dec 7, 2025
Starting Sunday
Dosunmu will start Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed Friday's game against the Pacers, but he will return to action Sunday in the starting five. Over his last three starts, Dosunmu has averaged 16.3 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 36.0 minutes per contest.
Dec 7, 2025
Available Sunday
Dosunmu (thumb) is available for Sunday's game against the Warriors, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will give it a go after missing Friday's loss to the Pacers due to a right thumb sprain. Over his last five appearances (four starts), the fifth-year swingman has averaged 16.4 points, 3.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 32.6 minutes per game. His return could result in fewer minutes for Julian Phillips and Dalen Terry (calf).
Dec 6, 2025
Questionable for Sunday
Dosunmu (thumb) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed Friday's loss to the Pacers, which allowed Jevon Carter to see meaningful minutes in the rotation, operating as the team's sixth man. If Dosunmu is out again Sunday, Carter could have some low-end appeal in daily fantasy leagues.
Dec 5, 2025
Won't play
Dosunmu (thumb) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pacers, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is battling a sprained right thumb, and the issue will prevent him from playing Friday night. His absence should mean plenty of minutes for Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry (calf). Dosunmu's next chance to play will come Sunday against Golden State.
Dec 4, 2025
Added to injury report
Dosunmu is questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers due to a right thumb sprain.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu played well Wednesday, logging 16 points and three steals in 36 minutes against Brooklyn, but he evidently picked up the injury at some point along the way. The team will presumably monitor him closely in shootaround and warmups before releasing another update on his availability for Friday.
Dec 4, 2025
Fares well as starter
Dosunmu supplied 16 points (5-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 113-103 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Kevin Huerter (hamstring) is set to miss a week, Tre Jones is hobbling with an ankle issue and Isaac Okoro (back) doesn't seem to be close to returning. Chicago is very shorthanded right now, and Dosunmu is likely to see a spike in minutes and fantasy appeal in the short term. Over his last four games, Dosunmu is averaging 13.5 points, 3.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.5 three-pointers.
Dec 2, 2025
Big workload Monday
Dosunmu finished with 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Monday's 125-120 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls have a laundry list of players on the injury report, including Kevin Huerter (thigh) after he departed early Monday, so Dosunmu is in position to soak up more usage until the team gets healthier. Dosunmu is worth rostering in most formats, having averaged 15.8 points, 3.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 18 games this season while shooting a sparkling 49.3 percent from deep.
Nov 29, 2025
Available Saturday
Dosunmu (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will shed his probable tag due to illness and suit up in the second leg of the team's back-to-back set. With Coby White (calf) sidelined, Dosunmu will likely see a bump in minutes. Over his last five outings (three starts), the swingman has averaged 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 28.0 minutes per contest.
Nov 29, 2025
Probable for Saturday
Dosunmu (illness) is probable for Saturday's tilt against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu came off the bench during Friday's loss to the Hornets and played just 23 minutes. Previously, he had started three straight games as the Bulls dealt with absences, and Isaac Okoro (back) remains sidelined. Either way, Dosunmu is playing well this season, averaging a carer-high 15.7 points per game.
Nov 28, 2025
Returning to bench role
Dosunmu is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will move to a bench role since Kevin Huerter will start at small forward. Dosunmu has been on a tear of late and is averaging 16.5 points per game over his last 10 games.
Nov 25, 2025
Sets new season-high scoring mark
Dosunmu amassed 28 points (11-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 32 minutes during Monday's 143-130 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu had established a new season-high scoring mark last Friday, Nov. 21, with a 23-point performance against the Heat, but he surpassed that mark Monday. Dosunmu has scored in double digits in eight of his last nine appearances, averaging 17.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game over that span.
Nov 22, 2025
Scores season-high 23 points
Dosunmu amassed 23 points (9-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound, four assists and two blocks in 33 minutes during Friday's 143-107 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu entered this game on a strong run of scoring outputs, and he kept that streak going in a starting role with a 23-point performance -- a new season-high mark for him. Dosunmu has proven he can perform either as a starter or off the bench, but he's likely to return to a second-unit role Saturday in the second leg of a back-to-back set against the Wizards, particularly with Coby White (calf) being expected to return after sitting out Friday's game.
Nov 21, 2025
Making first start of season
Dosunmu is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu wil make his first start of the season and will slot next to Josh Giddey in the backcourt. Dosunmu has been on a tear lately, scoring in double digits in his last six games and averaging 16.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game over that stretch.
Nov 18, 2025
Ties for team scoring lead Monday
Dosunmu produced 21 points (8-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds and five assists across 26 minutes off the bench during Monday's 130-127 win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
While Kevin Huerter got the start in place of Coby White (calf), Dosunmu was the slightly more productive of the two guards thanks to an extremely efficient scoring effort, as he tied Josh Giddey for the scoring lead for the Bulls on the night. Dosunmu has scored in double digits off the bench in five straight games, averaging 17.0 points, 3.6 assists, 2.4 boards, 1.8 threes and 0,8 steals over that stretch in 26.0 minutes a contest while shooting 53.7 percent from the floor, 47.4 percent from beyond the arc and 94.7 percent from the charity stripe.
Nov 17, 2025
Suiting up Monday
Dosunmu (hamstring) will play on an unspecified minutes restriction in Monday's game against the Nuggets, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will shed his probable tag due to left hamstring tightness, though he'll be limited in Monday's contest. Over his last five appearances, the 25-year-old guard has averaged 14.2 points, 3.2 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 24.8 minutes per game.
Nov 17, 2025
Probable for Monday
Dosunmu (hamstring) is probable for Monday's game against Denver.
ANALYSIS
A tight left hamstring isn't likely to stop Dosunmu from playing Monday. With Tre Jones (ankle) doubtful, Dosunmu should see an uptick in minutes. The swingman has averaged 15.2 points, 3.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per contest across 10 games this season.
Nov 17, 2025
Fares well off bench
Dosunmu ended Sunday's 150-147 double-overtime loss to Utah with 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and five assists across 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Despite the returns of Josh Giddey and Coby White, Dosunmu maintained a steady role off the bench for Chicago. Tre Jones was out with an ankle issue, however. It's vehemently clear that Dosunmu is a big part of coach Billy Donovan's plans, and his ability to play multiple spots on the floor helps his case as well.
Nov 10, 2025
Minutes restriction lifted
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is no longer on a minutes restriction, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed a pair of outings to open the month of November due to a quadriceps issue, which led to a minutes limit in each of his past two appearances. Now that he's become further removed from the injury, the swingman is ready to handle a full allotment of playing time in Monday's tilt against the Spurs. It's a timely boost for the Bulls, who will be without top playmaker Josh Giddey (ankle).
Nov 8, 2025
Available to play
Dosunmu (quad) will be available to play Saturday against the Cavs, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will again be limited to roughly 24 minutes on the second leg of this back-to-back set, although it's worth noting that head coach Billy Donovan said that this may be the last time that Dosunmu has minutes restrictions on a back-to-back. Still, he's tough to trust in daily settings if his minutes are capped in the 20s.
Nov 8, 2025
Probable Saturday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is dealing with a left quadriceps contusion, though he is likely to play in the second leg of the Bulls' back-to-back set. The 25-year-old logged 20 minutes in Friday's loss to the Bucks, posting seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three assists and two steals.
Nov 7, 2025
Available on minutes restriction
Dosunmu (quad) will be available for Friday's game in Milwaukee, but he'll be on a 24-minute limit, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Billy Donovan is limiting Dosunmu's minutes for the first leg of this back-to-back set, which lowers his appeal in daily fantasy leagues. Dosunmu is averaging 16.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 triples per game on the season.
Nov 6, 2025
Listed as questionable
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
After missing the past two games for Chicago, Dosunmu remains day-to-day. He was able to practice Thursday, and he is traveling with the Bulls for this two-game road trip.
Nov 6, 2025
Goes through practice
Dosunmu (quadriceps) practiced on Thursday, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has missed the past two games for Chicago, but he remains day-to-day. The fact that he was able to practice suggests he has a good chance of returning Friday against the Bucks. More clarity will be known once the Bulls release their official injury report Thursday.
Nov 4, 2025
Won't play Tuesday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite going through shootaround, Dosunmu will miss a second consecutive game due to a quadriceps injury. The team will likely pivot to Kevin Huerter and Jevon Carter to pick up the slack.
Nov 4, 2025
Goes through shootaround
Dosunmu (quadriceps) participated in Tuesday's morning shootaround, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is listed as questionable on the official injury report, but he was spotted getting some extra shots up after shootaround which bodes well for his status. If Dosunmu is unable to play, the Bulls could rely on Kevin Huerter and possibly Jevon Carter off the bench.
Nov 3, 2025
Questionable for Tuesday
Dosunmu (quad) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is in danger of missing his second straight game, but we'll have a better idea on his status following Tuesday's shootaround. If he does need to hit the sidelines, Josh Giddey could flirt with 40 minutes again and Jevon Carter will have the opportunity to get into the rotation.
Nov 2, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against New York, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will sit out his first game of the season due to a left quadriceps contusion. The guard had been a key contributor off the bench, logging 20-plus minutes in each of Chicago's first five contests while averaging 16.2 points, 3.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds.
Nov 1, 2025
Questionable for Sunday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is dealing with a left quadriceps contusion and could miss his first game of the season. If the swingman is ultimately ruled out, Kevin Huerter and Isaac Okoro are candidates for increased playing time. Over five regular-season outings, Dosunmu has averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 26.0 minutes per game. He's shooting 57.7 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from beyond the arc thus far.
Oct 31, 2025
Flirts with double-double in win
Dosunmu totaled 22 points (8-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 135-125 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu got back on track in the win, scoring at least 20 points for the second time in the past three games. Despite coming off the bench, it's been a relatively strong start to the season for Dosunmu, averaging 16.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 three-pointers in 26.1 minutes per game. The eventual return of Coby White (calf) is going to complicate matters when it comes to playing time. However, for now, consider Dosunmu a viable asset, even in 12-team formats.
Oct 28, 2025
Drops an efficient 21 in win
Dosunmu put up 21 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes in Monday's 128-123 win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been a prominent figure among the Bulls' rotation, especially with Coby White (calf) out to begin the season. Dosunmu is averaging 16.7 points on 3 three-pointers made and 55.9 percent from the field so far, and will look to maintain his blistering efficiency Wednesday against the Kings.
Oct 26, 2025
Cashes trio of threes
Dosunmu finished with 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two assists and one rebound across 27 minutes during Saturday's 110-98 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu made an impact Saturday, joining three other Bulls reserves in reaching double figures. After starting 26 of 46 regular-season games last season, the guard has opened this year as a spark plug off the bench and has thrived in the role. Through two contests, the Illinois product is averaging 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 26.5 minutes per game.
Oct 23, 2025
Productive in season opener
Dosunmu contributed 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 115-111 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
It was Tre Jones who filled Coby White's (calf) spot in the first unit, but Dosunmu still handled meaningful minutes off the bench. It's also worth noting that Isaac Okoro was held scoreless over 23 minutes in his Bulls debut, perhaps leaving the door open for Dosunmu to eventually make his way back into Chicago's starting lineup.
Oct 21, 2025
Available vs. Detroit
Dosunmu (thumb) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been dealing with a thumb issue, but after responding well in practice, he'll be good to go for the first game of the regular season. The Illinois product is coming off a campaign in which he played in only 46 regular-season games, but played well during that span, averaging 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest, shooting 49.2 percent from the floor and 32.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Oct 21, 2025
Goes through practice
Dosunmu (thumb) practiced on Tuesday, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is dealing with a "nagging" thumb issue that continues to bother him. Coach Billy Donovan said he'd get an update on how he comes out of practice from the medical staff later, with Johnson noting that he's expecting a questionable or probable tag for Opening Night.
Oct 16, 2025
Not starting Thursday
Dosunmu is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's exhibition against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu got the start Sunday with Tre Jones (foot) unavailable, but he'll head back to the second unit for Thursday's game with Jones back in action. Dosunmu is capable of providing some low-end value as a starter, but when he's working with the reserves, it's tough for him to make an impact in most fantasy leagues.
Oct 14, 2025
Starting Tuesday
Dosunmu will start in Tuesday's preseason game against Denver.
ANALYSIS
With Coby White (calf) and Tre Jones (foot) sidelined, Dosunmu will get the starting nod in the team's penultimate preseason game. The swingman appeared in 46 regular-season games (26 starts) last season, during which he averaged 12.3 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds across 30.3 minutes per game.
Oct 12, 2025
Scores 22 off bench
Dosunmu logged 22 points (8-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes of Sunday's 127-121 preseason loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Coach Billy Donovan seems to be leaning to bringing Dosunmu off the bench this season in favor of Isaac Okoro, but if the preseason is any indication, Dosunmu is going to be heavily involved. Dosunmu can play multiple positions which will give him a higher floor in fantasy as well.
Oct 10, 2025
Scores 16 off bench
Dosunmu logged 16 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes of Thursday's 119-112 preseason win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu came off the bench once again, but he saw a significant workload. Based on the preseason, it appears coach Billy Donovan is opting towards starting Isaac Okoro at small forward, but it's possible that his lineups are not set in stone. Either way, Dosunmu is a proven contributor and is likely to play a key role in 2025-26.
Oct 7, 2025
Part of second unit
Dosunmu is coming off the bench in Tuesday's preseason game against the Cavaliers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls will give Isaac Okoro a chance as a starter Tuesday while they try to decide whether he or Dosunmu will get the Opening Night nod. Dosunmu started 26 of his 46 regular-season games last year, but he'll likely need a strong showing at training camp and in the preseason to work with the first unit to begin the year.
Sep 29, 2025
Cleared for training camp
Dosunmu (shoulder) has the green light ahead of training camp, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reported Monday.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu underwent season-ending surgery in March to address left shoulder instability, but he's been doing 5-on-5 since August. He did find himself in some trade rumors over the offseason, but that noise has quieted considerably. Based on projections, Dosunmu is expected to be the favorite to start at small forward to open the 2025-26 season.
Mar 2, 2025
Will undergo season-ending surgery
The Bulls announced Sunday that Dosunmu will undergo season-ending surgery due to left shoulder instability.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu previously missed three outings due to a left shoulder subluxation, though he was able to play in the club's last contest during Friday's win over the Raptors, during which he posted 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 23 minutes. However, the club will shut him down for the season after further evaluation from medical professionals and training staff revealed shoulder instability. The 25-year-old will end the season averaging a career-high 12.3 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 steals across 30.3 minutes per game in 46 regular-season appearances. Kevin Huerter, Dalen Terry and Julian Phillips are candidates for a bump in minutes with Dosunmu on the shelf.
Mar 1, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Dosunmu is out for Sunday's game versus the Pacers due to a left shoulder subluxation.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu returned to action Friday after missing Chicago's previous three contests due to his shoulder injury. However, the 24-year-old guard's absence against Indiana should open up more minutes for Kevin Huerter (knee) and Jevon Carter. Dosunmu's next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with Cleveland.
Mar 1, 2025
Solid numbers in return
Dosunmu (shoulder) registered 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 23 minutes in Friday's 125-115 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Sidelined for the previous three games with a left shoulder subluxation, Dosunmu returned to action in a bench role, after he had started in nine of his prior 10 appearances. The Bulls were without Nikola Vucevic (calf) and Patrick Williams (quadricep) on Friday, but with the team at full strength in the backcourt, it's unclear if Dosunmu will have an opportunity to see a dramatic increase in playing time in future contests. If his minutes remain in 20-to-25 range, Dosunmu will likely be more of a 14-team league option rather than a player who needs to be rostered in 12-team leagues.
Feb 28, 2025
Suiting up Friday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is available for Friday's game against the Raptors, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will return to the hardwood after a three-game absence due to shoulder soreness. He's alternated between the starting lineup and the bench in recent weeks, starting in nine of his 15 appearances since the beginning of January. He's averaging 11.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game in that span.
Feb 27, 2025
Questionable for Friday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is questionable for Friday's game against the Raptors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu injured his shoulder in last Thursday's overtime loss to the Knicks, and he's in danger of missing a fourth game in a row Friday. If the 25-year-old swingman cannot give it a go against Toronto, the Bulls would likely divvy up his vacated minutes among Lonzo Ball, Kevin Huerter and Matas Buzelis.
Feb 26, 2025
Ruled out Wednesday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is out in Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It'll be a third straight absence with a shoulder injury for Dosunmu, who carries no clear timeline for a return while dealing with soreness. His next chance to play comes Friday against Toronto. In Dosunmu's absence against Los Angeles, Lonzo Ball and Matas Buzelis are candidates to see more playing time.
Feb 25, 2025
Listed questionable for Wednesday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu injured his left shoulder in Thursday's overtime loss to the Knicks and was held out Saturday against the Suns with what was described as instability in his shoulder. However, the questionable tag suggests that the Bulls view him as day-to-day going forward. If Dosunmu misses additional time, guys like Kevin Huerter, Julian Phillips and Matas Buzelis could see increased run with Patrick Williams (quadriceps) sidelined at the moment.
Feb 23, 2025
Lacks return timeline
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said prior to Saturday's 121-117 loss to the Suns that Dosunmu (shoulder) is "pretty sore" and is without a timeline for a return, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu injured his left shoulder in Thursday's 113-111 overtime loss to the Knicks, prompting the Bulls to rule him out for Saturday's contest. With Donovan noting that Dosunmu has "instability in his shoulder that he has to stay on top of," the fourth-year guard seems destined to sit out Monday's game in Philadelphia before the Bulls re-evaluate him upon returning to Chicago. While Dosunmu was sidelined Saturday along with Patrick Williams (quadricep) -- who is expected to miss at least two weeks -- Kevin Huerter (30 minutes) and Julian Phillips (24 minutes) saw the most notable boosts in playing time.
Feb 22, 2025
Not playing Saturday
Dosunmu (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Suns, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu injured his left shoulder during the Bulls' overtime loss to the Knicks on Thursday, and the injury was severe enough that he wasn't able lift his arm up following the game, per Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune. Kevin Huerter, Julian Phillips and Dalen Terry are the top candidates to see an uptick in playing time Saturday due to Dosunmu's injury. Dosunmu's next chance to suit up will be Monday against the 76ers, though head coach Billy Donovan relayed that there is instability in the fourth-year guard's shoulder and there doesn't appear to be a timeline for a return, per Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com.
Feb 21, 2025
Nursing left shoulder injury
Dosunmu (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu scored just five points on 25.0 percent shooting during Thursday's overtime loss to the Knicks, and it appears he came out of that contest worse for wear with a sore left shoulder. Dalen Terry, Kevin Huerter and Julian Phillips would be candidates to see a heavier workload off the bench should Dosumu be ruled out for Saturday's contest.
Feb 21, 2025
Shooting woes in loss
Dosunmu notched five points (2-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Thursday's 113-111 overtime loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu failed to get much of anything going as a member of the second unit following nine consecutive starts. The 25-year-old scored fewer than six points for the first time since Dec. 23, and he has also struggled from beyond the arc of late. Over his last five outings, Dosunmu has shot only 19.0 percent from downtown.
Feb 20, 2025
Shifting to bench role
Dosunmu isn't starting Thursday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will move to a bench role after starting Chicago's previous nine appearances. He's averaging 10.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his last five appearances as a reserve, which took place between Jan. 15 to Jan. 25.
Feb 11, 2025
Available Tuesday
Dosunmu (illness) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Pistons, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will be available to play in Tuesday's game against the Pistons after battling an illness. The 24-year-old has started the last seven games for the Bulls, averaging 13.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 50.7 percent from the floor and 42.4 percent from deep.
Feb 10, 2025
Likely to play Tuesday
Dosunmu (illness) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Although the Bulls sent Dosunmu home from Monday's practice due to an illness, the guard is likely to be available Tuesday. Over his last nine games (seven starts), Dosunmu has averaged 12.4 points, 4.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.0 threes in 31.0 minutes while shooting 42.9 percent from deep.
Feb 10, 2025
Dealing with illness
Dosunmu was sent home from Monday's practice due to an illness, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu's status for Tuesday's game against the Pistons is in the air, but there should be some clarity when the Bulls release their injury report Monday evening. Lonzo Ball (illness) will likely be held out Tuesday, so the Bulls may need Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones to soak up some backcourt minutes.
Feb 5, 2025
Just misses double-double Tuesday
Dosunmu provided 21 points (8-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 133-124 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Making his fifth straight start, the 2021 second-round pick led the Bulls in assists and nearly came away with his second double-double of the season. Dosunmu has been making an impact in Chicago's small-ball lineup, averaging 14.0 points, 5.6 assists, 3.0 boards, 2.4 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks during his latest stint in the starting five, but with rookie forward Matas Buzelis beginning to catch fire and Nikola Vucevic on the trade block, the Bulls' frontcourt could look very different by the weekend.
Jan 27, 2025
Back with starters Monday
Dosunmu will sta m Monday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will make his first start since Dec. 23 after being eased back into Chicago's rotation lately following an absence with a calf strain.
Jan 25, 2025
Available to face Philly
Dosunmu is available for Saturday's game against the 76ers,K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was initially listed as questionable with a calf problem following his 23-point performance in Thursday's loss to the Warriors, but the former Illinois star will give it a go Saturday. He hasn't started a game since Dec. 23, however, so his fantasy upside will remain somewhat limited if he continues to play with the second unit.
Jan 24, 2025
Questionable for Saturday
Dosunmu (calf) has been listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
After finishing with 23 points, two rebounds and two assists in Thursday's loss to the Warriors, Dosunmu's status for Saturday's game against Philadelphia remains uncertain. The 24-year-old is having a solid year for the Bulls, averaging 12.4 points and career-high numbers in rebounds (3.8) and assists (4.6), shooting 49.5 percent from the floor and 32.4 percent from beyond the arc.
Jan 23, 2025
Upgraded to available
Dosunmu (calf) has been upgraded to available for Friday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was initially questionable to play Thursday against the Warriors on the road, but that has changed. This is a step in the right direction for Chicago against a Golden State squad dealing with several injuries.
Jan 22, 2025
Downgraded to questionable
Dosunmu (calf) has been downgraded to questionable for Thursday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been bothered by a calf injury, but the recent update isn't encouraging, as he was listed as probable earlier Wednesday. The doubtful tag suggests he might be in line to miss a second straight contest -- and his 12th game out of Chicago's last 15 contests.
Jan 22, 2025
Probable for Thursday
Dosunmu (calf) is probable for Thursday's game against the Warriors, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls held Dosunmu out Monday due to calf injury management after he played 32 minutes against Portland on Sunday. He didn't practice Wednesday, however, but he was able to do some individual work and the Bulls are planning on him playing against the Warriors. Coby White (ankle) is doubtful, so Dosunmu could see plenty of usage in that contest.
Jan 20, 2025
Won't play Monday
Dosunmu (calf) is out for Monday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls will hold Dosunmu out Monday due to calf injury management, so it's reasonable for fantasy managers to expect him to return in Thursday's matchup with the Warriors.
Jan 20, 2025
Questionable for Monday
Dosunmu (calf) is questionable for Monday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunum, who just recently returned from a 10-game absence with a calf injury, has played in three straight games for the Bulls. He played 32 minutes Sunday against Portland for the first leg of a back-to-back set, so the Bulls will likely want to see how his calf responded to the increased workload before finalizing his status for Monday. Coby White (ankle) has already been ruled out, Lonzo Ball (knee) is questionable and Zach LaVine (knee) is expected to play.
Jan 17, 2025
Good to go Friday
Dosunmu (calf) is available for Friday's game against the Hornets, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After making his return from a 10-game absence with a calf injury Wednesday against Atlanta, Dosunmu is good to go for the Bulls on Friday as well. The 25-year-old logged 25 minutes off Chicago's bench in his first game back against the Hawks, so it's reasonable for fantasy managers to expect Dosunmu to handle a similar amount of playing time against Charlotte as he looks to become further removed from the injury.
Jan 16, 2025
Listed probable for Friday
Dosunmu (calf) is probable for Friday's game versus the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu returned from a 10-game absence due to a right soleus strain on Wednesday versus Atlanta, finishing with nine points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 25 minutes. If he's feeling up to it, Dosunmu could potentially see a few more minutes against the Hornets.
Jan 16, 2025
Scores 10 points in return
Dosunmu logged nine points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 110-94 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu returned from a 10-game absence, logging 25 minutes off the bench. Prior to his injury, Dosunmu had been serving as a starter for the Bulls, typically playing upwards of 32 minutes per game. However, he returns at a time when Lonzo Ball is playing his best basketball of the season, something which can also be said about Zach LaVine. His path to minutes is somewhat unclear and there could certainly be a timeshare coming, assuming both he and Ball can stay healthy moving forward.
Jan 15, 2025
Returning from 10-game absence
Dosunmu (calf) will play in Wednesday's game against Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been cleared to suit up Wednesday after missing 10 consecutive games with a strained right calf. Although Lonzo Ball (rest) will be inactive Wednesday, Dosunmu should be have his minutes monitored considering his lengthy absence.
Jan 15, 2025
Questionable for Wednesday
Dosunmu (calf) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu, who has missed the past 10 games for Chicago, has been targeting this game for his return. Coach Billy Donovan previously indicated that the guard will have a minutes restriction in his first game back, but it sounds like he's still waiting on the official green light to suit up. Lonzo Ball (rest) and Coby White (neck) are also questionable for this contest.
Jan 14, 2025
Out Tuesday, should play Wednesday
Dosunmu (calf) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Pelicans but is expected to play in Wednesday's contest against the Hawks, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss his 10th straight contest Tuesday after being downgraded from questionable to out due to a right calf strain. While Dosunmu will likely return to action against Atlanta on Wednesday, it wouldn't be surprising for him to operate on a minutes restriction.
Jan 13, 2025
Listed as questionable for Tuesday
Dosunmu (calf) is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu appears to be on the precipice of returning to Chicago's lineup after suffering a right calf strain in late December. If the 24-year-old doesn't suit up Tuesday, fantasy managers can have an eye on him returning during the second leg of the Bulls' back-to-back Wednesday against the Hawks. There hasn't been a direct beneficiary of Dosunmu's absence, but Josh Giddey and Zach LaVine could be required to handle the lion's share of the ball-handling duties if both Dosunmu and Coby White (neck) are sidelined against New Orleans.
Jan 13, 2025
Could return Wednesday
Dosunmu (calf) could return as soon as Wednesday's game versus the Hawks, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Chicago begins a back-to-back set Tuesday against the Pelicans, but Dosunmu won't be available for that one. He's scheduled to scrimmage at Monday's practice, and if he comes out of that without any setbacks, coach Billy Donovan anticipates that he will be available Wednesday with a minutes limit.
Jan 12, 2025
Remains out Sunday
Dosunmu (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Dosunmu has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss a ninth straight game. He recently began ramping up his on-court work, but it's unclear when he'll be ready to play again. Dosunmu's next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Pelicans.
Jan 11, 2025
Unlikely to play Sunday
Dosunmu (calf) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu hasn't played since Dec. 23 due to a right calf strain. While the 24-year-old guard is ramping up his on-court activity, he is unlikely to suit up against Sacramento.
Jan 10, 2025
Ramping up on-court activity
The Bulls are optimistic that Dosunmu (calf), who has been ruled out for Friday's game against Washington, is expected to return during the club's upcoming five-game homestand that begins this Friday and ends next Friday, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is ramping up his on-court activity and is expected to return sometime next week, though he should be considered doubtful at best for Sunday's game against the Kings. Another positive note, the 24-year-old cleared the treadmill sprinting piece that initially caused him discomfort, per Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune. He'll likely still need to clear live scrimmaging before his return, but his progress thus far bodes well for his potential comeback next week.
Jan 8, 2025
Ready to begin ramping up
Head coach Billy Donovan said Wednesday that Dosunmu (calf) is ready to begin ramping up his activity, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been recovering from a right calf strain since Dec. 26, and while it's encouraging to hear he's ready to increase his activity during his rehab, there remains no clear timetable for his return to game action. Dosunmu will also be on a minutes restriction once he's able to play. Until the 24-year-old is ready to get back on the floor, Josh Giddey, Coby White and Zach LaVine should continue dominating playmaking responsibilities for the Bulls.
Jan 6, 2025
Stalling in rehab
Head coach Billy Donovan said Monday that Dosnumu (calf) is expected to need at least one more week of rehab before progressing to sprinting, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is working through a right calf strain, which has forced him to be sidelined since Dec. 26. He's managed to participate in lighter on-court work but hasn't progressed enough in his recovery to take on more intense activities. Dosunmu's absence will allow Dalen Terry and Talen Horton-Tucker to continue to see increased playing time off the Bulls' bench.
Jan 5, 2025
Won't play Monday vs. Spurs
Dosunmu (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss his sixth straight game due to a right calf strain that he suffered in late December. His next opportunity to play will be against the Pacers on Wednesday, though he doesn't appear to be close to a return. Talen Horton-Tucker and Dalen Terry will continue to see increased playing time due to Dosunmu's injury.
Jan 3, 2025
Remains out for Saturday
Dosunmu (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss his fifth consecutive outing due to a right calf strain, and his absence from Friday's practice bodes poorly for his status ahead of Monday's game against the Spurs. With the 24-year-old sidelined, Dalen Terry and Talen Horton-Tucker will likely continue receiving an uptick in playing time.
Jan 3, 2025
Doesn't pracitce Friday
Dosunmu (calf) was absent from Friday's practice, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has missed Chicago's previous four contests due to a right calf strain. The 24-year-old guard's absence from practice is a bad sign of his availability for Monday's matchup with San Antonio.
Dec 31, 2024
Won't play Wednesday
Dosunmu (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss a fourth straight game due to a right calf strain. His next chance to suit up will come Saturday against the Knicks.
Dec 30, 2024
Ruled out Monday
Dosunmu (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss his third consecutive outing due to the right calf strain. With the 24-year-old and Zach LaVine (toe) both sidelined, Talen Horton-Tucker and Dalen Terry are candidates for increased roles. Dosunmu's next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Wizards, though he'll likely require more time to recover before returning to game action.
Dec 29, 2024
Not expected to suit up for Monday
Dosunmu (calf) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is expected to miss his third consecutive outing due to the right calf strain. The 24-year-old will likely remain out for at least the next week due to the injury, meaning Talen Horton-Tucker, Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
Dec 28, 2024
Out at least 10 days
Dosunmu was diagnosed with a right lower calf strain Saturday and will be re-evaluated in 10 days.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu suffered the injury during Tuesday's game and further testing revealed that he was dealing with a calf strain. If he's cleared at the 10-day mark, Dosunmu could play Jan. 8 against Indiana. While he's sidelined, Talen Horton-Tucker, Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry could see more minutes.
Dec 27, 2024
Unlikely to play Saturday
Dosunmu (calf) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was held out of Thursday's game against the Hawks due to right Achilles tendinopathy, but it appears he is more specifically dealing with a strained right calf. If Dosunmu is officially ruled out for Saturday's Central division clash, that would open the door for Dalen Terry, Talen Horton-Tucker and Jevon Carter to see more playing time.
Dec 26, 2024
Out Thursday
Dosunmu (Achilles) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Hawks, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss his first matchup of the season due to right Achilles tendinopathy. With the 24-year-old joining Lonzo Ball (illness), Matas Buzelis (illness) and Josh Giddey (ankle) on the sideline, Talen Horton-Tucker and Dalen Terry are candidates for increased roles. Dosunmu's next chance to feature will come Saturday against Milwaukee.
Dec 25, 2024
Iffy for Thursday
Dosunmu is questionable for Thursday's game against the Hawks due to right Achilles tendinopathy.
ANALYSIS
Since being inserted into the starting lineup against Atlanta on Nov. 22, Dosunmu has averaged 14.4 points, 5.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 33.4 minutes per game across his past 14 appearances. Lonzo Ball (illness) is doubtful and Josh Giddey (ankle) is questionable, so the Bulls are in danger of being shorthanded in the backcourt against Trae Young and the Hawks.
Dec 24, 2024
Matches season high with 11 assists
Dosunmu provided five points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, 11 assists and two steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 112-91 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu matched his season-high output with 11 dimes Monday, facilitating the offense for the Bulls in the blowout defeat. Through his last nine outings, Dosunmu is averaging 14.2 points, 6.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.9 three-pointers. The 24-year-old wing is shooting 39.5 percent from deep during this interval, and he'll look to stay on track from long range in his next matchup Thursday against a Hawks team that's giving up the most triples per game (15.9) this season.
Dec 19, 2024
Productive outing in victory
Dosunmu chipped in 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Thursday's 117-108 win over Boston.
ANALYSIS
It was a productive outing for Dosunmu, who hit double figures in scoring for the 10th consecutive game. Across that span, Dosunmu is averaging 16.2 points, 5.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers in 33.5 minutes per game. As long as Dosunmu remains a member of Chicago's starting lineup, which he's done for the last 12 contests, the 25-year-old wing's production should continue to benefit from a fantasy perspective with the more consistent playing time.
Dec 17, 2024
Stuffs stat sheet Monday
Dosunmu notched 12 points (5-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 40 minutes during Monday's 122-121 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu didn't have his best shooting performance, as he ended with more field-goal attempts than points scored, but he salvaged his outing by posting a loaded still line and at least one tally in each of the five major categories. Dosunmu has started 11 games in a row for Chicago and has posted excellent numbers, averaging 15.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game in that stretch.
Dec 6, 2024
First career triple-double
Dosunmu closed with 27 points (9-13 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 11 assists and three steals across 35 minutes during Thursday's 139-124 win over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Making his seventh straight start in the absence of Patrick Williams (foot), Dosunmu set season high in points, rebounds, assists and steals en route to his first career triple-double. Since moving into the starting lineup, Dosunmu has averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 32.1 minutes per game. During that stretch, he's shot 60.5 percent from the field, 73.7 percent from the free-throw line and 42.3 percent from deep. Given Williams' injury history, the Bulls will likely be cautious with the former lottery pick, affording Dosunmu plenty of opportunities to stay hot.
Nov 28, 2024
Scores 21 points in loss to Orlando
Dosunmu had 21 points (10-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 133-119 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has started in Chicago's last four games, and this was the second time he reached the 20-point mark in that span, so he's making the most of his opportunity. The former Illinois standout has scored in double digits in five of his seven starts this season, and it doesn't seem as if he'll be returning to a bench role any time soon given how productive he's been of late.
Nov 23, 2024
Shines in spot start
Dosunmu closed Friday's 136-122 win over the Hawks with 20 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu replaced Torrey Craig in the starting lineup, turning in arguably his best game of the season. Despite playing relatively consistent minutes thus far, Dosunmu's production has been very up and down. These are the kinds of numbers we were seeing from Dosunm down the stretch last season. The hope is that he can build off this performance as the Bulls look to try and string a few wins together.
Nov 22, 2024
Gets start Friday
Dosunmu is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls will tweak their starting unit and will play a small-ball lineup with essentially four guards alongside Nikola Vucevic. This will be Dosunmu's fourth start of the season. He's averaging 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in the previous three.
Nov 15, 2024
Starts in second half Friday
Dosunmu had 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 26 minutes during Friday's 144-126 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu started for the Bulls in the second half of Friday's game due to Josh Giddey facing foul trouble. Dosunmu took advantage of the opportunity and managed to reach double-digit scoring for a fifth straight game, and he has reached that mark in nine of his last 10 games. Over that 10-game span, Dosunmu has averaged 13.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists over 28.9 minutes per game.
Nov 14, 2024
Efficient in victory
Dosunmu posted 16 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 124-123 win over New York.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu's efficient shooting helped him record his fourth-straight game with double-digit points during Wednesday's win. Across his 12 appearances this season, the 24-year-old guard is averaging 11.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 28.3 minutes. However, Dosunmu has converted just 24.5 percent of his 4.4 three-point attempts per contest.
Nov 9, 2024
Retreats to bench Saturday
Dosunmu is not in the Bulls' starting lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has started in each of the Bulls' last three games, which has coincided with Zach LaVine's absence due to a thigh injury. With LaVine returning for Saturday's game, Dosunmu will return to the bench. Across his three starts, Dosunmu averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists over 31.0 minutes per game.
Nov 7, 2024
Struggles with efficiency
Dosunmu accumulated six points (2-13 FG, 2-10 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 119-99 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu made his second straight start Wednesday with Zach LaVine (thigh) sidelined. After pouring 25 points in his previous outing, the 24-year-old guard struggled mightily with his outside shot against Dallas. Dosunmu is shooting just 38.5 percent from the field and 17.5 percent from three across eight appearances this season.
Nov 5, 2024
Impresses in spot start
Dosunmu provided 25 points (9-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one block in 35 minutes during Monday's 135-126 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu slid into the starting five Monday due to the absence of Zach LaVine (hip), and he certainly didn't disappoint. His night was highlighted by a season-best 25 points while draining 69.2 percent of his tries from the field, finishing second on the team in scoring behind Coby White's 28-point performance. It would seem to be an easy decision for Chicago to give Dosunmu another opportunity to start Wednesday in Dallas if LaVine is unable to go.
Nov 4, 2024
Starting Monday vs. Utah
Dosunmu is in the Bulls' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will make his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Monday due to Zach LaVine (hip) being sidelined. Over his last three games, Dosunmu has averaged 10.7 points on 48.1 percent shooting, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists over 27.7 minutes per game.
Nov 2, 2024
Leads bench with 10 points
Dosunmu racked up 10 points (3-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes during Friday's 120-112 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has scored in double digits in each of has last three outings and has logged seven or more rebounds in two of them. The 2021 second-round pick is expected to take on a slightly larger role due to Lonzo Ball being sidelined with a sprained right wrist. Over his last three regular-season games, Dosunmu has averaged 10.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists over 27.7 minutes per game.
Oct 23, 2024
Not starting Wednesday
Dosunmu is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest versus New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will likely feature heavily on the second unit, however Chicago's deep cast of ballhandlers is at full strength to start the campaign. Josh Giddey, Coby White and Zach LaVine are all in the starting lineup Wednesday.
Oct 18, 2024
Starting vs. Cleveland
Dosunmu is in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Dosunmu starts at point guard instead of Josh Giddey (ankle/rest). Once the regular season begins, Dosunmu figures to be one of the first reserves off the bench for the Bulls.
Oct 18, 2024
Suiting up Friday
Dosunmu (rest/shoulder) will play and is expected to start in Friday's preseason finale against the Cavaliers, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Josh Giddey (ankle/rest) out, Dosunmu is expected to enter the Bulls' starting five. The 24-year-old sat out of Wednesday's preseason game versus the Timberwolves, but he seems to be 100 percent ahead of the start of the regular season.
Oct 16, 2024
No-go for Wednesday
Dosunmu (rest/shoulder) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Timberwolves, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu suffered a stinger to his left shoulder Saturday, and while he's fully recovered, the Bulls will give him a second consecutive game off. Dosunmu will have one more chance to play in the preseason before the team's regular season starts on Oct. 23.
Oct 14, 2024
Won't suit up Monday
Coach Billy Donovan said Dosunmu (rest/shoulder) will not play in Monday's preseason game versus the Bucks, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu left Saturday's contest versus the Grizzlies early after sustaining a stinger to his left shoulder. However, the shoulder injury is no longer expected to be an issue, and the 24-year-old is likely only missing Monday's game due to rest purposes. Dosunmu's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Timberwolves.
Oct 12, 2024
Won't return Saturday
Dosunmu won't return to Saturday's preseason game against the Grizzlies due to a left shoulder injury, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
This is not what the Bulls were hoping for when starting Dosunmu over Coby White (groin), and it's unclear if Dosunmu will be forced to miss time in the reminder of the preseason. Dosunmu is expected to be one of the primary names off the bench once the regular season starts, so his absence would hurt the Bulls' depth in case he's forced to miss time once the season begins.
Oct 12, 2024
Gets starting nod Saturday
Dosunmu will start in Saturday's preseason game against the Grizzlies, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will replace Coby White (groin) in the starting five Saturday. While Dosunmu is unlikely to serve as a regular starter during the season, he is expected to play a prominent role off the bench. The 24-year-old is coming off a career-best year, during which he averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds across 29.1 minutes per game in 76 regular-season outings (37 starts).
Apr 19, 2024
Good to go Friday
Dosunmu (quad) is available for Friday's Play-In Game against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite missing the final four games of the regular season, Dosunmu played 41 minutes in Wednesday's Play-In victory over Atlanta, putting up 19 points, three assists, two blocks and a rebound. After playing over 40 minutes Wednesday, the Bulls are not expected to limit the 24-year-old's minutes, especially in a win-or-go-home scenario.
Apr 18, 2024
Questionable for Friday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is questionable for Friday's Play-In Game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu sat out the final four games of the regular season due to a right quadriceps contusion but returned to action to begin the postseason Wednesday against Atlanta. He tallied 19 points, three assists, two blocks and a rebound in 41 minutes in his return to action, and he should see plenty of playing time if he's cleared to play once again, especially if Alex Caruso (ankle) is unavailable.
Apr 17, 2024
Full go Wednesday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) will play and is not under a minutes restriction for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against the Hawks, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed the last four games of the regular season with a right quad contusion, but he's been given the green light for Wednesday's Play-In game. He should be expected to slot back into the starting shooting guard role. Dosunmu made 27 consecutive starts before sustaining the injury, averaging 16.9 points, 4.9 assists and 3.4 rebounds during that stretch.
Apr 16, 2024
Officially listed as questionable
Dosunmu (quad) is considered questionable for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu expressed optimism earlier Tuesday that he will be available for Wednesday's contest, but his status is nonetheless undetermined. The 24-year-old has not taken the court since April 7, but his excellent two-way play was pivotal down the stretch in keeping Chicago afloat, as the Bulls carry a minus-1.9 net rating on the season -- ranking 21st in the league.
Apr 16, 2024
Hopeful for Wednesday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is hopeful to play in Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed four straight games to end the regular season with a bruised right quad. He's trending in the right direction, however, and he was spotted going through a full-court scrimmage with the player development coaches Tuesday. More clarity is expected when the Bulls release their injury report Tuesday evening.
Apr 14, 2024
Out for regular-season finale
Dosunmu (quad) will not play Sunday versus New York.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will look to reach 100 percent in advance of Chicago's Play-In Tournament matchup versus Atlanta on Wednesday. Chicago's primary cast of backcourt contributors is otherwise healthy at this time.
Apr 13, 2024
Deemed questionable
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is considered questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is in danger of missing his fourth straight game due to a right quadriceps contusion to close out the regular-season. More clarity on his status figures to come after he tests things out during pregame warmups. Dalen Terry and Onuralp Bitim (wrist) would be candidates for bigger roles should Dosunmu not get the green light.
Apr 12, 2024
Will remain sidelined Friday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will be unavailable for a third consecutive game due to a right quadriceps contusion. His final chance to suit up during the regular season will be Sunday against the Knicks, but it's possible the Bulls hold him out for that matchup since they've already secured their seed in the postseason. It's unclear whether Dosunmu's quadriceps injury will impact his availability for the team's Play-In Tournament matchup against Atlanta on Wednesday.
Apr 11, 2024
Won't play Thursday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been dealing with a right quadriceps contusion and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. Whether he'll be available for the second half of the back-to-back set Friday against Washington remains to be seen. Javonte Green is a candidate to draw another start Thursday.
Apr 10, 2024
Iffy for Thursday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed Tuesday's loss to the Knicks, marking his first absence since Nov. 4. If he remains sidelined Thursday, Javonte Green would likely draw another start, while Dalen Terry and Jevon Carter could carve out a few more minutes off the bench.
Apr 9, 2024
Won't suit up Tuesday
Dosunmu (quadriceps) is out for Tuesday's game versus the Knicks, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss his first game since Nov. 4 on Tuesday after being downgraded from questionable to out with a right quad contusion. Jevon Carter, Dalen Terry and Onuralp Bitim are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Dosunmu's next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Detroit.
Apr 8, 2024
Questionable for Tuesday
Dosunmu is dealing with a right quad contusion and is questionable to play Tuesday versus the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has not missed a game since Nov. 4, serving as a testament to his durability this season. No in-game injury was reported for the 24-year-old during Chicago's loss to Orlando on Sunday, and Dosunmu has been cooking to the tune of 16.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals on 56.5 percent shooting across his last six contests, but his status will need to be monitored.
Apr 6, 2024
Stuffs stat sheet vs. New York
Dosunmu accumulated 24 points (10-20 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two steals across 39 minutes during Friday's 108-100 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is going through the most productive stretch of his career since the All-Star break, and he extended his streak of games with 12 or more points to 10 contests. An energetic wing capable of using his physicality to make an impact on both ends of the court, Dosunmu has averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game over that 10-game stretch.
Apr 1, 2024
Active Monday
Dosunmu (illness) has been cleared for Monday's game against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will suit up for his 69th consecutive contest Monday despite dealing with an upper respiratory illness of late. His durability is an impressive feat, and no minute restriction has been announced in light of his ailment.
Apr 1, 2024
Probable for Monday
Dosunmu is probable for Monday's game against Atlanta due to an upper respiratory illness.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has dealt with his illness over the past few days, but he'll likely be able to suit up once again Monday. Over his last five appearances, he's averaged 14.4 points, 4.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 35.2 minutes per game.
Apr 1, 2024
Keeps scoring streak alive
Dosunmu accumulated 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Sunday's 109-101 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu shook off an illness tag in order to play Sunday, and he delivered a solid stat line. He's now scored in double digits in eight games in a row, a span in which he's putting up 20.5 points per game while shooting 58.6 percent from the field and 47.2 percent from three. That's arguably the most productive stretch of his career.
Mar 31, 2024
Will play Sunday
Dosunmu (illness) is available for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu and Alex Caruso (ankle) will both shake off questionable tags again. In March (15 games), Dosunmu has averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 36.9 minutes per game.
Mar 30, 2024
Questionable against Minnesota
Dosunmu (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was also questionable with an upper respiratory illness in Chicago's previous contest before being upgraded to available. If Donsunmu is unable to suit up Sunday, Jevon Carter and Onuralp Bitim are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Mar 29, 2024
Set to play against Brooklyn
Dosunmu (illness) is available for Friday's game versus the Nets, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been upgraded from probable to available Friday despite dealing with a non-COVID illness. The 23-year-old guard is averaging 18.4 points, 4.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 36.9 minutes across his last 10 outings.
Mar 28, 2024
Probable for Friday
Dosunmu (illness) is probable for Friday's game in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu played through the illness Wednesday and finished with 17 points, three boards, four dimes, three triples, two swats and two turnovers across 34 minutes, so it clearly didn't impact his play. He should continue to due so Friday and managers can expect to get official confirmation on his status closer to tip-off.
Mar 27, 2024
Gets green light
Dosunmu (illness) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Dosunmu has been upgraded from probable to available and will suit up despite an illness. Over his last five games, Dosunmu has averaged 23.6 points, 5.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 38.4 minutes per game.
Mar 27, 2024
Probable for Wednesday
Dosunmu (illness) is probable to play Wednesday against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is feeling a little under the weather, but it looks like he'll gut it out for Wednesday's game. Check back closer to tip-off for official confirmation on his status.
Mar 22, 2024
Scores career-high mark Thursday
Dosunmu had 35 points (13-18 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and three steals in 39 minutes during Thursday's 127-117 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been thriving since moving to a permanent starting role with the Bulls, and aside from notching a career-high mark in scoring, he also reached the 20-point mark for the fourth time across his last five appearances. Dosunmu should continue to play a secondary role in the Bulls' offensive scheme, but there's no question his fantasy value will remain on the rise if he keeps taking advantage of the opportunities as he's done it lately.
Mar 19, 2024
Nabs first double-double of season
Dosunmu finished with 23 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, 10 assists and one steal over 39 minutes during Monday's 110-107 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
It was his highest assist total in over two years, as Dosunmu's last double-double came against the Timberwolves on Feb. 11, 2022. The third-year guard has seen a huge workload of late, playing at least 35 minutes in four straight games and 13 of 14 since the All-Star break, and he's responded by averaging 16.2 points, 6.3 assists, 3.9 boards, 2.0 threes and 1.1 steals over that latter stretch.
Mar 17, 2024
Impressive efficiency in win
Dosunmu boomed for 34 points (14-22 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Saturday's 127-98 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu continues emerging as a potent offensive force in his third campaign. He also facilitated while committing just one turnover Saturday. He rarely draws free throws or wins with his size, but Dosunmu is blossoming into a savvy multi-dimensional scorer for a Bulls backcourt currently lacking Coby White (hip).
Mar 14, 2024
Struggles in loss vs. Clippers
Dosunmu supplied seven points (2-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 35 minutes during Thursday's 126-111 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was coming off a nice 20-point outing against the Pacers on Wednesday. He was unable to carry that momentum into Thursday's game as he struggled with his shot and committed three turnovers. Still, Dosunmu has shown improvement in his third year in the NBA and is averaging a career-high 10.9 points this season. Since entering the starting lineup Jan. 28, Dosunmu is averaging 15.1 points on 48.3 percent shooting (including 41.6 percent from three on 5.7 3PA/G), 3.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals over 37.2 minutes per game.
Mar 14, 2024
Scores 20 vs. Pacers
Dosunmu ended with 20 points (7-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 43 minutes during Wednesday's 132-129 overtime victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
It was a nice bounce-back performance for Dosunmu after he posted nine points on 4-for-13 shooting Monday against the Mavericks. Coby White exited late in the fourth quarter with a hip injury, and with the Bulls set to play Thursday against the Clippers, Dosunmu could see a larger role on the offensive side of the floor. He's averaged 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists over 37.0 minutes per game since March 1.
Mar 12, 2024
Forgettable outing
Dosunmu finished Monday's 127-92 loss to Dallas with nine points (4-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu contributed to a poor shooting night from beyond the arc for Chicago, as the team connected on just 20.6 percent of 34 threes. He chipped in across the board to salvage his fantasy output, however, and another high-octane opportunity is on deck Wednesday against Indiana.
Mar 8, 2024
Decent stat line in win Thursday
Dosunmu chipped in 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 38 minutes during Thursday's 125-122 victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Even though Dosunmu was unable to reach the 20-point mark, something that was becoming a regular occurrence in recent weeks, he still posted a strong line due to his contributions in peripheral categories. There's no doubt Dosunmu is going through his most productive stretch of the season, and he's averaging 16.2 points, 6.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game across his last 10 appearances. Dosunmu should remain a viable fantasy alternative across all formats as long as he remain in a starting role with Chicago.
Mar 5, 2024
Sharp play continues
Dosunmu amassed 20 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Monday's 113-109 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu posted his eighth game with at least 20 points this season, four of which have come in his last eight games. He is averaging 17.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.3 steals on 49.1 percent shooting, including 43.1 percent shooting from deep, over that span. Additionally, he has logged no fewer than 33 minutes in any contest over that stretch.
Feb 28, 2024
Stuffs stat sheet Tuesday
Dosunmu recorded eight points (4-14 FG, 0-5 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and three steals across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 105-95 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was unable to extend his double-digit scoring streak to seven games after a woeful shooting display, but he still salvaged his fantasy stat line thanks to his contributions in other categories. Dosunmu is not expected to lead the Bulls offensively any time soon, but his contributions in recent weeks have been admirable as he's going through his most prolific stretch of the campaign. Over his last 10 games, Dosunmu has averaged 15.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
Feb 26, 2024
Extends scoring streak to six games
Dosunmu contributed 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and three steals over 39 minutes during Sunday's 114-106 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has scored in double digits in each of his last 10 appearances as a starter, and it's safe to say he's going through the most productive stretch of his career, including a career-best 29-point effort against the Hawks on Feb. 12. He's averaging 16.1 points, 4.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game since the beginning of February.
Feb 13, 2024
Torches Atlanta
Dosunmu totaled 29 points (12-18 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 39 minutes during Monday's 136-126 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu notched a new scoring career high Monday, punishing Atlanta from beyond the arc and attacking the basket with conviction. He's blossoming as a multi-dimensional offensive weapon for the Bulls, and his defensive length makes him a rising two-way player in the league.
Feb 11, 2024
Hits five threes Saturday
Dosunmu produced 19 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 39 minutes during Saturday's 114-108 overtime loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is going through his most productive stretch of the season and has been thriving as a scoring weapon, scoring in double digits in all but one of his last 13 appearances. He's averaging 14.8 points per game while shooting 50 percent from three-point range in that span.
Feb 8, 2024
Back with starters
Dosunmu will start Thursday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls will move Andre Drummond back to the bench, as they wanted his size to match up with Minnesota's jumbo frontcourt on Tuesday. Dosunmu is likely looking at significant minutes once again Thursday with Chicago so shorthanded.
Feb 6, 2024
Moves to second unit
Dosunmu will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
This could just be a matchup move for the Bulls, as they are pairing Andre Drummond with Nikola Vucevic in the frontcourt against Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. Dosunmu has played at least 39 minutes in three straight games and figures to remain heavily involved.
Jan 31, 2024
Steps up in starting role
Dosunmu had 21 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block across 39 minutes during Tuesday's 118-107 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Zach LaVine (ankle) is in the midst of a lengthy absence, and Patrick Williams (foot) is also expected to miss multiple weeks, so Dosunmu has started each of Chicago's past two games. He had already been trending up in fantasy prior to moving into the starting unit, and he's worth considering as a pickup -- at least for the short term -- now that he appears set for extended run for at least a handful more games. Dosunmu has posted double-digit points in eight consecutive contests, and he's averaging 15.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 triples during that stretch.
Jan 28, 2024
Enters starting lineup
Dosunmu will start Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
With Zach LaVine (ankle) and Patrick Williams (foot) out of the lineup, Dosunmu enters the starting lineup for the seventh time this season. Dsounmu has seen a significant role lately, averaging 15.3 points, 2.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 28.0 minutes per game over his last six appearances, and he will look to continue his strong play in a starting role.
Jan 20, 2024
Drops team-hgih 20 points
Dosunmu totaled 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Saturday's 125-96 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu saw increased run off the bench, leading the Bulls with 20 points. With Zach LaVine (ankle) slated to miss up to two weeks, Dosunmu could be in for a short-term bump. While this was certainly a 12-team fantasy line, it did come against a severely undermanned Grizzlies team. He could be worth grabbing but Monday's clash with the Suns should give us a clearer picture of what his minutes might look like moving forward.
Jan 20, 2024
Good to go Saturday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is cleared to play Saturday against Memphis, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is dealing with a left shoulder contusion, but he has suited up for 36 consecutive contests, including averaging 26.5 minutes per game across his last 10 appearances. Dosunmu is averaging 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 18 games without Zach LaVine this season, which will be the situation in the Bulls' backcourt for weeks to come with LaVine shelved due to an ankle injury.
Jan 19, 2024
Probable for Saturday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is probable for Saturday's game against Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been dealing with a left shoulder injury recently, but he's been able to play through the issue. He's averaged 13.7 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game over his last three appearances, and he'll likely be able to suit up again Saturday.
Jan 18, 2024
Officially available Thursday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is available for Thursday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was upgraded from questionable to probable after participating in Thursday's morning shootaround, and he's officially been cleared to suit up against Toronto. He's come off the bench in his last five appearances and has averaged 10.2 points, 2.4 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game during that time.
Jan 18, 2024
Now likely to play Thursday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is listed as probable for Thursday's game versus the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been upgraded from questionable to probable Thursday despite dealing with a left shoulder contusion. If Dosunmu is further upgraded to available, he will likely continue to serve as one of Chicago's first backcourt options off the bench.
Jan 18, 2024
Participates in shootaround
Dosunmu (shoulder) went through shootaround ahead of Thursday's game versus the Raptors, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game due to a left shoulder stinger. However, his participation in shootaround is a good sign of his availability against Toronto.
Jan 17, 2024
Questionable for Thursday
Dosunmu (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu suffered a left shoulder contusion against the Cavaliers but was able to practice Wednesday. While coach Billy Donovan said the injury was "totally fine", Chicago could opt to play it cautiously. If Dosunmu is ruled out Thursday, Jevon Carter would likely receive increased minutes.
Jan 17, 2024
Checks out fine after MRI
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said Dosunmu (shoulder) took part in Wednesday's practice after checking out "totally fine" following an MRI, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite pouring in 10 points in third quarter alone Monday, Dosunmu was held out for the final period of the Bulls' 109-91 loss to the Cavaliers while dealing with a left shoulder stinger. The injury was something he had already been carrying into Monday's contest, but the aggravation Dosunmu suffered during the game doesn't look as though it'll cost him any further action. The Bulls have yet to reveal their official injury report for Thursday's game in Toronto, but Dosunmu's ability to take part in practice Wednesday likely means he'll be listed as probable or questionable for the contest, if he isn't cleared from the report entirely.
Jan 15, 2024
Re-injures shoulder
Dosunmu was held out of the fourth quarter of Monday's game against the Cavaliers after aggravating a shoulder injury, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu suffered a shoulder injury at some point during Saturday's matchup with San Antonio but was ultimately cleared to play Monday evening before aggravating the issue. He'll be considered day-to-day until more information on the injury comes to light. Fortunately, Dosunmu will have a few days to recover with the Bulls set to take the court next against the Raptors on Thursday.
Jan 15, 2024
Will play Monday
Dosunmu (shoulder) has been upgraded to available for Monday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been an integral part to Chicago's second unit, playing in all but two games this season and making six starts. In his last four games, he has averaged 10.3 points, 2.3 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks across 20.5 minutes, including a season-high 21 point outing in his last match.
Jan 14, 2024
Listed as probable
Dosunmu is probable for Monday's game against Cleveland due to a left shoulder contusion.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu popped for a season-high 21 points during Saturday's win over San Antonio but appears to have picked up a shoulder injury as well. Regardless, barring a setback, Dosunmu should be back in action Monday. Over his last seven appearances (one start), Dosunmu has averaged 10.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 26.4 minutes per game.
Jan 13, 2024
Invisible again Friday
Dosunmu produced six points (2-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt) in 17 minutes during Friday's 140-131 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu barely troubled the scorers in the loss, managing just six points in 17 minutes. He failed to record any other stats, highlighting just how unimpactful he can be, even when playing meaningful minutes. Outside of deeper formats, Dosunmu can be safely left on the waiver wire.
Jan 8, 2024
Won't start Monday
Dosunmu won't start Monday's game against the Hornets, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was replaced by Alex Caruso in the starting lineup. Across 29 appearances as a reserve this season, Dosunmu has averaged 8.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 21.0 minutes per game.
Jan 5, 2024
Starting Friday
Dosunmu will start in the backcourt in Friday's game against the Hornets, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is entering the starting lineup in place of Alex Caruso. He has averaged 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 32.6 minutes in five starts this season.
Jan 2, 2024
Top scorer off bench in loss
Dosunmu notched 15 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes in Tuesday's 110-97 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu came off the bench while playing in a team-high minute total, ending second on the team in scoring and hauling in a trio of rebounds. Dosunmu has recorded 15 or more points in three of his last four games and on five occasions this year. His 32 minutes marked the eighth time this season he has taken the court in 30 or more minutes.
Dec 27, 2023
Paces bench with 19 points
Dosunmu recorded 19 points (6-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and three steals across 35 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 118-113 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Andre Drummond was the direct replacement in the starting five for the injured Nikola Vucevic (groin) and erupted for 24 points and 25 rebounds over 39 minutes, but Drummond's elevation to the top unit still created an offensive void on the bench that Dosunmu stepped in to fill. Dosunmu (19.6 percent) comfortably outpaced fellow reserves Jevon Carter (14.4 percent), Dalen Terry (12.2 percent) and Terry Taylor (10.4 percent) in usage, and the added offensive responsibility coupled with proficient shooting from downtown allowed Dosunmu to post his second-best scoring total of the season. Even if he continues to benefit from a small spike in opportunities while Vucevic is out for at least the next week and while Zach LaVine (foot) remains without a clear return timeline, Dosunmu hasn't shown the ability to consistently string together quality fantasy lines. Dosunmu should thus be viewed as more of a deep-league entity for the time being.
Dec 21, 2023
Productive in bench role
Dosunmu ended with 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 124-108 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu retreated to the bench Wednesday after starting in his last two appearances, but he was more productive on the scoreboard than he had been recently. The 23-year-old has been a stronger scorer off the bench than he has been as a starter recently, as he's scored in double figures in his last two appearances as a reserve while being held below 10 points in his last four starts. He's made nine appearances (four starts) since the start of December, averaging 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 29.1 minutes per game.
Dec 20, 2023
Returns to bench
Dosunmu isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will be replaced by Alex Caruso in the starting five Wednesday. Dosunmu is averaging 12.2 points, 3.0 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 28.0 minutes across his last five appearances coming off the bench this season.
Dec 18, 2023
Starting again Monday
Dosunmu remains in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the 76ers, even with Alex Caruso (ankle) returning to action.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has averaged 36.0 minutes per game across four starts this season, but even if Caruso is on a minutes restriction, Dosunmu is unlikely to see that level of workload Monday. Nonetheless, he remains in the starting lineup and profiles as a consistent component of the Bulls' rotation.
Dec 16, 2023
Starting against Miami
Dosunmu will start Saturday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
This was the expectation with Alex Caruso sidelined with an ankle injury. Dosunmu will be a popular player to pick up in fantasy leagues after he scored 24 points (10-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT) with eight rebounds, five assists and one steal during Thursday's game against the Heat.
Dec 15, 2023
Enjoys best game of season Thursday
Dosunmu finished Thursday's 124-116 victory over the Heat with 24 points (10-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal over 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu moved back to the bench after starting two straight games in the place of Alex Caruso, but the former ended up logging 35 minutes Thursday while Caruso played just five minutes as a result of reinjuring his ankle. Dosunmu filled in superbly in Caruso's stead, posting season-high marks in points and rebounds while dishing five assists and shooting a sizzling 10-of-12 from the field. He hasn't yet shown the ability to sustain fantasy viability on a consistent basis, but Dosunmu will likely see plenty of floor time again if Caruso has to miss additional time.
Dec 14, 2023
Heads back to bench Thursday
Dosunmu is not in the starting lineup to face the Heat on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu heads back to the bench with Alex Caruso (ankle) returning to the first unit after a brief two-game absence. He has played off the bench in all but three of his 23 appearances this season, averaging 6.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 17.3 minutes per game.
Dec 11, 2023
Moves into starting five
Dosunmu is starting Monday's game against the Bucks, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will get the nod at shooting guard with both Zach LaVine (foot) and Alex Caruso (ankle) out of action. Dosunmu has started one game so far this season Nov. 30, also against Milwaukee, and he totaled 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals in 39 minutes of action.
Dec 2, 2023
Moves back to bench Saturday
Dosunmu is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Dosumnu will head back to the bench with DeMar DeRozan, who was dealing with an ankle injury, available and ready to start. Dosunmu is averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game when playing off the bench this season.
Dec 1, 2023
Scores season-high 14 points
Dosunmu ended Thursday's 120-113 overtime win over Milwaukee with 14 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu moved into the starting lineup Thursday, as the Bulls were without Zach LaVine (foot) and DeMar DeRozan (ankle). Dosunmu set multiple season highs in minutes played (39), points (14), assists (6) and rebounds (6), and he also tied his season best of three steals. Another heavy workload could be on the table for Saturday against the Pelicans if the Bulls are shorthanded again.
Nov 30, 2023
Starting against Milwaukee
Dosunmu is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will start in place of Zach LaVine, who has been ruled out with a foot injury. This will be his first start of the campaign. He's averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game through 17 appearances.
Nov 23, 2023
Scores in double figures
Dosunmu closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 116-102 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was held to single-digit scoring totals in his five appearances ahead of Wednesday's matchup, but he had a relatively efficient performance from the floor against the Thunder while converting three of his attempts from beyond the arc. He's been relatively inconsistent for Chicago and has averaged just 5.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game over his last nine appearances.
Nov 19, 2023
Plays 13 minutes in win
Dosunmu amassed two points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and two assists in 13 minutes during Saturday's 102-97 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has struggled to make a consistent impact, but he continues to play double-digit minutes as a backup. Since missing back-to-back games at the beginning of November due to an illness, the backup guard has averaged 5.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.7 minutes per game over his last seven appearances.
Nov 12, 2023
Extended playing time in win
Dosunmu had 13 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three assists and four steals over 27 minutes in Sunday's 119-108 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu got more minutes off the bench with Alex Caruso (toe) ruled out for Sunday's contest. Dosunmu took advantage of the opportunity, scoring in double-digits for the first time this season and had a team-best plus-19 point differential. He could continue to see more time on the floor if Caruso remains out for an extended period of time.
Nov 6, 2023
Back in action
Dosunmu (illness) will play in Monday's game against the Jazz, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu returns from a respiratory illness that cost him Chicago's last two contests. He'll join the minute share between Coby White, Alex Caruso (elbow), Jevon Carter, and Torrey Craig.
Nov 5, 2023
Questionable for Monday
Dosunmu is officially questionable for Monday's game against the Jazz
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is dealing with a respiratory illness which has forced him to miss Chicago's last two contests. If he can't play Monday, his next opportunity would be Wednesday against Phoenix.
Nov 3, 2023
Will miss back-to-back
Dosunmu (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Nets and won't travel with the team to Denver for Saturday's contest, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will miss both halves of the Bulls' upcoming back-to-back set, but he should be able to suit up for Monday's matchup against the Jazz. In his absence, Alex Caruso and Jevon Carter will be candidates for increased minutes off the bench.
Nov 3, 2023
Unlikely to play Friday
Dosunmu (illness) is now listed as doubtful for Friday's game versus the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful Friday due to a respiratory illness. If he's unable to suit up, Alex Caruso and Jevon Carter will likely see extended minutes.
Nov 3, 2023
Dealing with illness
Dosunmu is questionable for Friday's matchup against the Nets due to an upper respiratory illness.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu wasn't listed on the initial injury report but is now in danger of missing his first game of the season. The backup guard has played double-digit minutes in four straight games, averaging 4.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists during that stretch, so if he's sidelined, Alex Caruso and Jevon Carter would be candidates for increased playing time.
Oct 25, 2023
Joins reserves for opener
Dosunmu will come off the bench during Wednesday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu drew the start in Chicago's final preseason tilt, and as expected, will shift back to the second unit for the regular season opener. Though Dosunmu made 51 starts and averaged 26.2 minutes per game last season, he's expected to begin the 2023-24 campaign behind the likes of Zach LaVine, Coby White, Jevon Carter and Alex Caruso in the backcourt.
Oct 20, 2023
Hits for 15 in Thursday's start
Dosunmu scored 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) while adding two rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes during Thursday's 114-105 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Getting the start with Zach LaVine (illness) unavailable, Dosunmu wrapped up a strong preseason with his best performance yet. The third-year guard has gone 6-for-15 (40 percent) from three-point range over five exhibition contests, and if he can maintain that improved volume and efficiency from long range when games begin to count, he could work his way into fantasy utility as something more than injury insurance for LaVine.
Oct 19, 2023
Gets starting nod
Dosunmu will start Thursday's preseason game against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Zach LaVine is getting the night off due to an illness. Dosunmu will be starting alongside Coby White, and both of these players have turned some heads in the preseason with their strong play.
Oct 17, 2023
Coming off bench
Dosunmu will come off the bench for Tuesday's preseason game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Coby White will draw the start at point guard Tuesday evening. While Dosunmu has played well during the preseason, White seems to be gaining steam as a candidate to start on Opening Night. Meanwhile, Alex Caruso is dealing with an ankle issue that will prevent him from playing Tuesday.
Oct 16, 2023
Goes for 12 points Sunday
Dosunmu ended with 12 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and seven assists across 31 minutes in Sunday's 116-102 preseason loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is competing with Coby White to open the season as the starting point guard, but he seems to be losing ground against the former UNC star. Dosumnu logged more than 25 minutes for the first time in the current preseason run in this one, but he's not expected to have that kind of usage once the regular season rolls around, and all signs point to him having to settle with a role on the bench.
Jul 21, 2023
Staying in Chicago
The Bulls signed Dosunmu to a three-year, $21 million contract Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was a restricted free agent but will stay with Chicago after playing for the franchise over the last two seasons. The 23-year-old guard averaged 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 26.2 minutes across 80 games in 2022-23. Dosunmu will likely compete for backup point guard minutes with Jevon Carter behind Alex Caruso.
Apr 7, 2023
Inserted into starting lineup
Dosunmu is in the starting five for Friday's game versus the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will start alongside Coby White and Alex Caruso, with Zach Lavine, Patrick Beverley and DeMar DeRozan out resting. Dosunmu is averaging 9.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 29.6 minutes across his previous 50 starts this season.
Mar 21, 2023
Fails to benefit sans Caruso
Dosunmu generated four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 20 minutes in Monday's 109-105 double-overtime win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Even with Alex Caruso (foot) sitting out Monday, head coach Billy Donovan opted not to give Dosunmu a look in the starting lineup alongside Patrick Beverley. Patrick Williams moved up to the top unit instead, while Dosunmu didn't receive any notable bump in playing time while continuing to come off the bench. Dosunmu is averaging 5.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.3 three-pointers and 0.3 blocks in 19.2 minutes in 12 outings since the All-Star break, numbers that keep him irrelevant in the majority of fantasy leagues.
Mar 17, 2023
Returns to bench
Dosunmu isn't in the starting five for Friday's game versus Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Alex Caruso will replace Dosunmu in the starting lineup Friday. Dosunmu will likely resume his backup point guard duties.
Mar 15, 2023
Gets starting nod
Dosunmu is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will replace Alex Caruso (illness) in the starting lineup Wednesday. Dosunmu is averaging 9.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 29.6 minutes across his 49 games starting this season.
Mar 4, 2023
Limited playing time again Friday
Dosunmu contributed eight points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals in 18 minutes during Friday's 125-104 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu continues to play limited minutes off the bench, a far cry from his starting role to open the season. At this point, Patrick Beverley, Alex Caruso and Coby White are all ahead of him in the rotation. While he was moderately productive in this one, unless he is playing upwards of 30 minutes per night, there is no need to consider him outside of deeper formats.
Feb 25, 2023
Fares well in new role
Dosunmu posted seven points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 26 minutes during Friday's 131-87 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu moved to the bench in favor of Patrick Beverley on Friday, and he was surprisingly the second guard off the bench behind Coby White. Dosunmu ended up playing more minutes than both those guys, although the lopsided score certainly was a factor. No matter how you slice it, the arrival of Beverley will eat into Dosunmu's workload and fantasy value a good bit.
Feb 24, 2023
Heads to bench
Dosunmu will move to the bench Friday against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The addition of Patrick Beverley was always going to squeeze Dosunmu's workload, but it will be interesting to see how this new-look rotation unfolds. It's possible that Dosunmu still has a big role while someone like Coby White loses a larger chunk of value.
Feb 16, 2023
Delivers 36 minutes of nothing
Dosunmu supplied seven points (3-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist across 36 minutes during Thursday's 112-100 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu continues to disappoint on a nightly basis, delivering another underwhelming performance despite playing 36 minutes. The Bulls are a mess right now, highlighted by the fact they continue to start Dosunmu. This speaks to the lack of viable guard options in Chicago, something that is likely to see them continue to struggle down the stretch. Dosunmu can be rostered in deeper formats simply due to the fact he will see heavy minutes on a nightly basis. Those in standard leagues would be better off either streaming or grabbing a player with upside.
Feb 14, 2023
Rough night Monday
Dosunmu had two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 100-91 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu continues to log heavy minutes for the Bulls, and yet he finds himself well outside the top 150 over the past month. At this point, there is basically no upside when it comes to his fantasy game, outside of decent percentages. However, the fact he takes barely any shots almost negates that fact, making him a viable asset in deeper formats only.
Feb 8, 2023
Scores 14 with 14 shots
Dosunmu totaled 14 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 104-89 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu scored in double digits for the fifth game in a row, and while he struggled in terms of shooting efficient, he still posted a decent stat line with decent passing and defensive numbers. The second-year guard is averaging 14.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 0.8 blocks per game in four February contests.
Feb 3, 2023
Efficient in win over Hornets
Dosunmu ended with 22 points (9-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 114-98 win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
The second-year guard had one of the most efficient performances of his career Thursday, missing just one shot from the field en route to tying his best scoring output of the campaign. He didn't contribute in a significant way in other categories, but the 22-point performance was enough to make him a huge piece in this win. To note, Dosunmu has scored in double digits in five of his last eight outings.
Jan 27, 2023
Scores in double figures
Dosunmu supplied 12 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block over 28 minutes during Thursday's 111-96 loss to Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu scored in double digits after being held to two and seven points in his last two matchups, respectively. He was efficient from the field and also secured a block for the second time in three games. While Dosunmu has been inconsistent in the scoring column for the majority of the 2022-23 campaign, he's now put up 12 or more points in three of his last five appearances.
Jan 23, 2023
Comes up empty in win
Dosunmu ended with two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, five assists, one block and one steal over 29 minutes during Monday's 111-100 win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu remained in the starting lineup Monday but failed to deliver, once again. Despite starting every game over the past month, Dosunmu is outside the top 200 in that time. His minutes remain solid enough but unfortunately, his production leaves a lot to be desired. He can be a viable streaming target on low-volume nights but beyond that, he is best left for managers in deeper formats.
Jan 8, 2023
Tepid performance in start
Dosunmu had seven points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 27 minutes during Saturday's 126-118 win over Utah.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu attempted only four shots all night and logged only two assists, marking three straight games he's handed out two or less. His streaming appeal still remains but he's going to have games like this where the usage just isn't there.
Dec 31, 2022
19 points, five steals in loss
Dosunmu registered 19 points (7-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT), two rebounds, two assists and five steals in 34 minutes during Saturday's 103-102 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu had easily his best game since October, matching his career-high with five steals. He added 19 points, the most he has scored in over two months. It's been a disappointing season for Dosunmu who after opening as the starting point guard, saw his role cut in half in recent weeks. An injury to Alex Caruso opened the door for Dosunmu to step back into the starting lineup, a promotion that up until this game had yielded very little. He is not worth grabbing based on this performance but his production moving forward is worth keeping an eye on.
Dec 23, 2022
Back in starting lineup Friday
Dosunmu had nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Friday's 118-117 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was back in the starting lineup for just the second time in his last 10 appearances. After averaging just 13.3 minutes per game in the previous four contests, he's played more than 30 minutes in each of the last two games and may be in line for more playing time with Alex Caruso (concussion) out. He's made 36.4 percent of his three-pointers in December after making just 32.3 percent over the first two months.
Dec 23, 2022
Starting Friday
Dosunmu will enter the first unit for Friday's game in New York.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will draw the start in place of Alex Caruso (concussion) after hitting the game-winner in Chicago's last contest. He has averaged 9.5 points in 26.3 minutes per game this season.
Dec 21, 2022
Scores game-winner Wednesday
Dosunmu accumulated nine points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 110-108 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu grabbed an offensive rebound and put home a layup as time expired, winning the game for the Bulls. It had been a tough stretch of late for the 22-year-old as he had made just five of 18 shots over the previous four games before going 4-for-6 Wednesday. For the year, he's made 50.9 percent of his shots and 32.9 percent of his three-point tries, a slight decline from his rookie season.
Dec 19, 2022
Woeful production continues in loss
Dosunmu posted five points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 19 minutes during Sunday's 150-126 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Dosumu continues to struggle, scoring no more than five points for the third straight game. After opening the season as the starter, his role has basically been cut in half over the past week, to the point where he may not even be the primary backup. At this point, he is a risky play, even in deeper formats.
Dec 18, 2022
Listed as available
Dosunmu (pelvis) is available for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will be available for a second straight game following a one-game absence due to a pelvic contusion. However, the backup point guard only saw 15 minutes and was limited during Friday's loss to the Knicks, so Dosunmu will be a risky play Sunday.
Dec 17, 2022
Probable Sunday
Dosunmu is considered probable for Sunday's game versus the Timberwolves despite a pelvic contusion.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was limited to fewer than 20 minutes in Friday's game because of the issue, but he appears to come out of the game unscathed for the most part. Barring a setback, Dosunmu should be available off the bench again Sunday.
Dec 16, 2022
Available but limited
Dosunmu (pelvis) will play fewer than 20 minutes in Friday's game against the Knicks, Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Billy Donovan noted Dosunmu will play in short stints and log less than 20 minutes following a two-game absence due to a pelvic bruise. Although he will not regain his typical role, Alex Caruso and Coby White will likely see fewer minutes.
Dec 15, 2022
Questionable Friday
Dosunmu is questionable for Friday's matchup with the Timberwolves due to a pelvic contusion.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is questionable to miss his second straight game after being ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. Alex Caruso and Coby White will likely see extended minutes if his absence continues.
Dec 14, 2022
Won't play Wednesday
Dosunmu (abdomen) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against New York, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu suffered an abdominal bruise Sunday against Atlanta and was unable to practice Tuesday. He'll be forced to miss at least one game, while Alex Caruso (back) will likely see increased playing time if he's cleared to suit up Wednesday.
Dec 13, 2022
Officially questionable Wednesday
Dosunmu (abdomen) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu didn't take part in practice Tuesday an is seemingly trending in the wrong direction, but the fact that the team didn't list him as doubtful is a good sign. Look for another update on his status to surface on game day.
Dec 13, 2022
Officially listed as questionable
Dosunmu (abdomen) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu left Sunday's loss to Atlanta due to an abdominal bruise and didn't practice Tuesday, but he still has a chance to suit up Wednesday. If he's sidelined, Alex Caruso (back) would presumably fill the second-year guard's missing minutes, as the veteran is expected to return to action following a two-game absence.
Dec 13, 2022
Trending toward sitting out
Dosunmu (abdomen) didn't practice Tuesday and is trending toward sitting out Wednesday's matchup against the Knicks, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu left Sunday's loss to Atlanta due to an abdominal bruise and appears likely to miss at least one additional game. However, Chicago is hoping that Alex Caruso (back) will be available Wednesday after he returned to practice Tuesday.
Dec 11, 2022
Leaves with abdominal bruise
Dosunmu will not return to Sunday's game against Atlanta due to abdominal bruise.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu took a hard fall late in the second quarter and appeared to land directly on Trae Young's knee following a drive to the basket. He returned to the locker room for further evaluation and has now been ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Prior to exiting, Dosunmu posted two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and a steal in 14 minutes.
Dec 2, 2022
Coming off bench
Dosunmu will play a reserve role in Friday's matchup with the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu, who has started in every game he has played this season, will come off the bench in favor of Alex Caruso. It looks like the Bulls are looking to shake things up with their starting unit. As a result, Dosunmu's minutes will presumably take a hit.
Nov 30, 2022
Active Wednesday
Dosunmu (knee) is active Wednesday against Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will play as expected and will presumably resume his starting role. The guard has averaged 9.2 points and 2.8 assists across his previous five starts.
Nov 29, 2022
Probable Wednesday
Dosunmu is listed as probable ahead of Wednesday's game against Phoenix due to a right thump sprain.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu likely picked up the injury sometime during the Bulls' win over the Jazz on Monday. Barring any major setbacks prior to game time though, the guard will presumably retain his normal starting role versus the Suns.
Nov 19, 2022
Efficient despite loss Friday
Dosunmu provided 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two assists, three blocks and one steal in 24 minutes during Friday's 108-107 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The second-year guard was coming off three straight games with single-digit scoring figures, but he bounced back and relied on his efficiency to finish with a decent stat line. Dosunmu continues to lack consistency on a game-to-game basis, but his role as the Bulls' starting point guard won't be under threat while Lonzo Ball (knee) remains out. Dosunmu is averaging 10.4 points on 49.4 percent shooting through nine games in November.
Nov 17, 2022
Has another quiet night
Dosunmu closed Wednesday's 124-110 loss to the Pelicans with four points (2-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been held to seven points or fewer in each of his last three contests. He's been dreadful from three over that brief period, going 0-for-7 with six turnovers to boot. The Illinois product will be in search of a rebound game Friday against the Magic, as he'd gotten off to a decent start to November by scoring in double figures in four of his first five contests prior to his current cold stretch.
Nov 1, 2022
Solid night against Nets
Dosunmu recorded 17 points (7-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and three steals in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 108-99 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
After missing the Bulls' last game with a chest bruise, Dosunmu was back in the starting five and scored in double digits for the fourth straight contest. The second-year guard has provided solid production in the absence of Lonzo Ball (knee), and he will likely continue to start at point guard for the foreseeable future with Ball still lacking any kind of timetable for his return.
Nov 1, 2022
Cleared to play
Dosunmu (chest) is available for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will presumably rejoin the starters Tuesday after a one-game absence. He's averaging 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.0 minutes.
Oct 31, 2022
Questionable against Brooklyn
Dosunmu (chest) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed Saturday's loss to the 76ers after initially being listed as probable. However, he participated in Monday's practice session, and coach Billy Donovan said afterward that Dosunmu is trending toward playing Tuesday. However, the point guard will likely see how he feels Tuesday before the Bulls determine his status for the game.
Oct 31, 2022
Practices Monday
Dosunmu (chest) practiced Monday and is trending toward playing Tuesday against the Nets, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was listed as probable for Saturday's game against the 76ers due to a thoracic contusion, but he was unable to suit up. While his participation at practice Monday was certainly encouraging, he'll presumably continue to be monitored ahead of Tuesday's matchup.
Oct 29, 2022
Out Saturday
Dosunmu (chest) is out Saturday against the 76ers, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
The point guard's absence is surprising, given that he was listed as probable. In his absence, more minutes should be in store for Alex Caruso, Goran Dragic and Coby White.
Oct 29, 2022
Probable Saturday
Dosunmu is probable for Saturday's game against the 76ers due to a thoracic contusion.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu exited Friday's loss to the Spurs early, but he should be fine for Saturday. This season, he's averaging 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.8 minutes.
Oct 28, 2022
Returns to Friday's game
Dosunmu (head) has returned to Friday's game against San Antonio, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu went to the locker room in the third quarter due to an apparent head injury, but he returned to the game in the fourth quarter. It's not yet clear whether his injury will impact his availability moving forward, but his quick return is certainly encouraging.
Oct 28, 2022
Heads to locker room Friday
Dosunmu went to the locker room in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Spurs due to an apparent head injury, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu's head hit Keldon Johnson's knee on a fall in the third quarter of Friday's matchup, and Dosunmu immediately went to the locker room after being examined by trainers. He'll presumably be evaluated for a concussion, while Alex Caruso and Goran Dragic should see increased run down the stretch if Dosunmu is unable to return.
Oct 25, 2022
Shines against Boston
Dosunmu amassed 22 points (9-10 FG, 4-4 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Monday's 120-102 win over Boston.
ANALYSIS
Both in numbers and efficiency, Dosunmu had one of the best performances of his young NBA career in this one -- he only missed one shot from the field, was perfect from three-point range and also contributed in other categories. Dosunmu is expected to remain a starter as long as Lonzo Ball (knee) remains out, and while the return of Zach LaVine should reduce his ball-handling and playmaking responsibilities, he's still expected to be a decent fantasy contributor as long as he remains in this starting role.
Oct 20, 2022
Effective as starting point guard
Dosunmu ended Wednesday's 116-108 victory over the Heat with 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Dosunmu served as Chicago's starting point guard to begin the regular season since Lonzo Ball (knee) is unavailable. Dosunmu was productive when serving as a starter during his rookie season, and he posted a well-rounded stat line Wednesday to help lead the Bulls to a win to begin the 2022-23 campaign. Ball is expected to be sidelined for at least a few months, so Dosunmu should continue to see significant minutes.
Oct 11, 2022
Locks down starting job
Bulls coach Billy Donovan said Dosunmu will be the Bulls' starting point guard to begin the season, Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been starting for the Bulls in the preseason with Lonzo Ball (knee) out. Ball is expected to be out at least a few months, but will likely return this season. Until he returns, the second-year guard should be in line for a breakout season. As a rookie, Dosunmu averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 27.4 minutes across 77 games. Donovan having confidence in a second-year player over veterans such as Goran Dragic, Alex Caruso and Coby white speaks to the potential the young guard has.
Oct 4, 2022
Set to start in preseason opener
The Bulls announced that Dosunmu would start at point guard versus the Pelicans on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
With Lonzo Ball expected to miss a significant portion of this season, the Bulls are looking for a point guard to start in his place. Dosunmu appears to have the most upside after a promising rookie season in which he averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 27.4 minutes over 77 games. The second-year guard will be given the chance to earn his starting role this preseason.
Apr 27, 2022
Joins starting five
Dosunmu will start Wednesday's Game 5 against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
With Alex Caruso (concussion) sidelined, Dosunmu will take his place as the Bulls' starting point guard for Game 5. He contributed eight points, two assists, two rebounds and a steal across 29 minutes in Sunday's Game 4, and he should have more opportunities Wednesday with Caruso and Zach LaVine (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) sidelined.
Apr 24, 2022
Starts second half of Game 4
Dosunmu started the second half of Sunday's Game 4 against the Bucks, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Caruso was hit in the fact during the final minutes of the first half, but it's unclear if he'll be available off the bench during the second half. Dosunmu has averaged just 1.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 11.3 minutes during the first three games of the series.
Apr 11, 2022
Plays 45 minutes in finale
Dosunmu totaled 26 points (9-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals across 45 minutes during Sunday's 124-120 victory over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu came off the bench in Friday's loss to the Hornets, but he started and played a career-high 45 minutes Sunday since the Bulls rested several key contributors during the regular-season finale. He had averaged 8.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 28.6 minutes per game in his nine appearances leading up to Sunday's matchup, and he figures to see closer to his usual allotment of work once the playoffs begin next weekend.
Apr 10, 2022
Will start Sunday
Dosunmu will start Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
With Chicago's big three all resting, plus Coby White (toe) and Alex Caruso (back) sidelined, Dosunmu will get the nod at point guard and could end up functioning as the No. 1 offensive option. He'll start alongside Troy Brown, Javonte Green, Patrick Williams and Tristan Thompson.
Apr 8, 2022
Not starting Friday
Dosunmu isn't starting Friday's game against Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu had started in each of the last eight appearances, and he averaged 8.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 28.6 minutes per game during that time. However, he'll come off the bench while Coby White serves as the starting point guard Friday.
Mar 28, 2022
Unproductive in loss Monday
Dosunmu supplied 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes during Monday's 109-104 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu continues to trend in the wrong direction despite still logging significant minutes. He has now failed to score more than 15 points in eight straight games, collecting a total of two steals over that same period. His assist numbers remain serviceable but when he is offering basically nothing else, managers are likely going to be better served by scouring the waiver wire for a player with more upside.
Mar 24, 2022
Set to start Thursday
Dosunmu will start in Thursday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
With DeMar DeRozan ruled out with a hip injury, Dosunmu will pick up the start in relief. The rookie has made 31 starts on the season and is averaging 11.1 points, 5.8 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals as a starter.
Mar 22, 2022
Lands bench role Monday
Dosunmu finished Monday's 113-99 victory over the Raptors with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds, six assists and one block in 24 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu moved back to the bench Monday, ceding his starting spot to Alex Caruso. It's been a nice run of 12-team value for the rookie, something that could come to an end should his playing time fall to fewer than 25 minutes per night. With that being said, managers holding Dosunmu might want to wait to see how things play out over the next game or two before making any moves.
Mar 21, 2022
Expected to remain in bench role
Dosunmu will be utilized as Chicago's backup point guard moving forward, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Alex Caruso was moved into the starting lineup for Monday's game against Toronto, and after the game, head coach Billy Donovan stated that this is likely a long-term decision. He also noted that the move had nothing to do with Dosunmu's recent performance, stating the rookie guard has been "incredible," per Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago. Dosunmu still managed to log 24 minutes off the bench in Monday's victory and figures to see plenty of opportunities to develop as the regular season winds down.
Mar 21, 2022
Heads to bench
Dosunmu isn't starting Monday's game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was held to just four points in 29 minutes Friday against the Suns and has struggled to an average of 10 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists over his last seven contests. Now that Caruso has been able to acclimate to game action, Dosunmu could remain a permanent fixture on the bench going forward.
Mar 19, 2022
Flops in rout
Dosunmu accumulated four points (2-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes during Friday's 129-102 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Dosonmu continues to start at the two-guard spot alongside Zach LaVine, and while that's led to a mini-breakout in Year 1, Dosunmu's production has been a bit shaky over the last few games. He did finish with 15 points and six assists against Utah on Wednesday, but prior to that he had just six points on 3-of-9 shooting, to go with two assists and two rebounds, in the Bulls' loss to Sacramento on Monday.
Mar 13, 2022
Good production across the board
Dosunmu notched 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in 36 minutes during Saturday's 101-91 victory over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu did a little bit of everything in the win as he continues to post solid numbers amid Chicago's backcourt absences. Although Alex Caruso returned to action, Dosunmu still held down the fort as Lonzo Ball's (knee) direct pivot. As Caruso gets back into playing mode, both Dosunmu and Coby White could be negatively affected.
Mar 12, 2022
Good to go Saturday
Dosunmu (hip) is available Saturday against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Dosunmu will play through a strained right hip. However, his workload could be reduced soon, as Alex Caruso (wrist) is making his return Saturday.
Mar 11, 2022
Probable Saturday
Dosunmu is probable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers due to a strained left adductor.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has appeared in 11 straight games with averages of 11.2 points, 5.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 35.6 minutes. He'll presumably play Saturday, but his workload moving forward could take a hit with Alex Caruso (wrist) on the verge of a return.
Mar 9, 2022
Leads team in assists
Dosunmu contributed nine points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, four rebounds and three steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 114-108 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was the Bulls' primary distributor on Wednesday as DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic handled scoring responsibilities, with each of them posting 20-plus points. The rookie also led the team in plus-minus on Wednesday (plus-14), and he's handled the team's starting point guard duties well as Lonzo Ball (knee) and Alex Caruso (wrist) work their way back from injuries. Dosunmu will look to have another positive impact when the Bulls host Cleveland on Saturday.
Mar 1, 2022
Solid effort despite loss
Dosunmu posted 18 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Monday's 112-99 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has settled himself as a starter with Lonzo Ball (knee) and Alex Caruso (wrist) sidelined, and he continues to make an impact for Chicago despite not having a prominent role on offense. The former Illinois standout is averaging 11.6 points, 6.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game since joining the starting lineup, and he has scored in double digits in six of his last seven contests.
Feb 24, 2022
Turns in efficient line
Dosunmu totaled 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 34 minutes during Thursday's 112-108 victory over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu took advantage of his opportunities on the offensive end, knocking down a pair of triples for the third time in the last four contests while shooting above 50 percent from the field. He also was impressive on the other end, swatting away three shots, the highest total of his young NBA career.
Feb 13, 2022
Quality numbers in back-to-back set
Dosunmu produced 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), nine assists, eight rebounds and one steal across 42 minutes in Saturday's 106-101 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Wednesday's loss in Charlotte due to a concussion, Dosunmu has since cleared the protocol and was available for both ends of the Bulls' weekend back-to-back set. The rookie immediately recaptured his spot in the starting five and saw heavy playing time in both contests, as he also played 42 minutes in Friday's 134-122 win over the Timberwolves. Chicago is likely to be without all of Zach LaVine (knee), Lonzo Ball (knee), Alex Caruso (wrist), Patrick Williams (wrist) and Javonte Green (foot) through the All-Star break, so Dosunmu should be in store for elevated playing time and usage for at least the Bulls' final two games of the first half.
Feb 11, 2022
Available Friday
Dosunmu (concussion) is good to go for Friday's tilt against the Timberwolves, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu will return from a one-game absence. With Lonzo Ball (knee) still sidelined, the rookie will presumably return to the starting lineup at point guard.
Feb 10, 2022
Questionable Friday
Dosunmu (concussion) is questionable for Friday's matchup against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu sat out Wednesday's win over the Hornets, which allowed Coby White to join the starting five. White will presumably start again if Dosunmu is out once more.
Feb 8, 2022
Won't play Wednesday
Dosunmu has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with the Hornets due to a concussion, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu played 33 minutes during Monday's loss to the Suns, but he totaled just two points (1-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and two rebounds during the contest. It's unclear exactly when he suffered the concussion, but he will be sidelined for at least one game. The Bulls close out the week with a back-to-back homestand, which starts Friday against the Timberwolves, however, it's unclear if the rookie will be available for either of those games. Coby White is expected to be the primary beneficiary for the duration of Dosunmu's absence.
Feb 5, 2022
Career-high 14 assists in win
Dosunmu accumulated 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), 14 asssits and two steals across 37 minutes in Friday's 122-115 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
It was Dosunmu's second double-double of the seasons and his 14 assists were a career-high. He continues to impress with his extra minutes while Lonzo Ball (knee) and Alex Caruso (wrist) are sidelined. The rookie is averaging 12.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 triples across 36.8 minutes in his previous seven contests.
Jan 30, 2022
Hands out 11 assists in win
Dosunmu amassed seven points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 130-116 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls fell behind early but rallied back behind a huge second quarter in which they outscored the Blazers 44-30 to take an eight-point lead into halftime. Scoring-wise, Dosunmu didn't offer much, but he set a new career high with 11 assists and added a pair of steals to salvage a solid fantasy effort. Even with Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan both healthy, Dosunmu continues to play a major role in the absences of Alex Caruso (wrist) and Lonzo Ball (knee). The rookie has seen at least 30 minutes in 10 straight games.
Jan 28, 2022
Serviceable effort in loss Friday
Dosunmu finished Friday's 131-122 loss to the Spurs with 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu finished Friday's loss with a somewhat well-rounded effort, more in line with what we should expect from him moving forward. His form has been hot and cold over the past two weeks, providing fantasy managers with more questions than answers. It appears the playing time is here to stay and so that alone lands him as a 12-team asset moving forward.
Jan 25, 2022
Turns in another hot shooting game
Dosunmu produced 24 points (10-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt), eight assists, five rebounds and a block Monday in the Bulls' 111-110 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Chicago welcomed back two starters (Zach LaVine and Javonte Green) from multi-game absences due to injury while another rested (DeMar DeRozan), but Dosunmu was able to stick on the top unit over Coby White, who served as the sixth man. Troy Brown will presumably move back to the bench when DeRozan returns to action Wednesday versus Toronto, but Dosunmu made a strong case to remain with the starters ahead of White on the strength of another red-hot shooting performance. While starting the past six contests, Dosunmu has turned in excellent averages of 15.0 points, 6.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2.0 triples, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks in 38.5 minutes per game. However, the scoring and three-point production in particular doesn't look sustainable, given that it's come on the back of 62.7 percent shooting from the field and 54.5 percent shooting from distance. Dosunmu wasn't regarded as an elite shooter coming out of college -- which is reflected in his poor 60.5 percent rate from the free-throw line on the season -- s
Jan 20, 2022
Keeps producing as starter
Dosunmu registered 18 points (7-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 117-104 win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu has been trusted with a starting role due to Zach LaVine's knee injury, and the rookie out of Illinois has adjusted surprisingly well to this new role, even if it's going to be for a short period of time. He's scored at least 15 points in each of his last three games, all of them as a starter, while shooting 76.7 percent from the field in that span. He's likely to regress at some point and that should happen sooner than later, but Dosunmu should be a must-add player if he remains available on the waiver wire of your fantasy league.
Jan 17, 2022
Emphatic performance in loss
Dosunmu amassed 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and five steals in 38 minutes during Monday's 119-106 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu had the best game of his career Monday, delivering a double-double while adding seven defensive counters. While this is obviously not sustainable, he is locked in for a substantial role for the foreseeable future. As long as he is getting more than 30 minutes per night, fantasy managers should absolutely grab him in all standard formats.
Jan 16, 2022
Nearly perfect from field
Dosunmu notched 21 points (9-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt), four rebounds and 10 assists in 40 minutes during Saturday's 114-112 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu jumped to the starting lineup with Zach LaVine (knee) sidelined and thrived, missing just one shot from the field en route to his highest scoring output of the campaign. The former Illinois standout should remain a starter as long as LaVine is out, so this means he is expected to have an uptick in both minutes and performance at least on a short-term scenario.
Jan 15, 2022
Starting vs. Celtics
Dosunmu will start Saturday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The rookie gets the nod with the Bulls severely shorthanded in the backcourt. In his two previous starts, he averaged 8.0 points, 5.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 38.0 minutes.
Jan 15, 2022
Plays 32 minutes Friday
Dosunmu ended Friday's 138-96 loss to the Warriors with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and two rebounds in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu saw an uptick in playing time after Zach LaVine (knee) exited Friday's game, but he had a limited impact as the Bulls' offense struggled to keep up with the Warriors. In spite of his lackluster performance Friday, the 21-year-old could take on a starting role Saturday against Boston since the Bulls are shorthanded in the backcourt.
Jan 8, 2022
Highly efficient in Friday's win
Dosunmu amassed 18 points (7-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and three steals across 31 minutes during Friday's 130-122 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was fantastic off the bench for the Bulls, continuing to flash some very real upside. Derrick Jones Jr. was given the starting nod but failed to produce in his 16 minutes, instead allowing Dosunmu to step into a larger role. Those in standard leagues should just keep an eye on his role as we move through the next couple of weeks, in case he is able to solidify a 20+ minute role.
Dec 27, 2021
Fills second-unit role in return
Dosunmu (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) played 23 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 113-105 win over the Pacers, finishing with six points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), two rebounds and one block.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu had missed Chicago's previous three games while he was one of several Bulls in the health and safety protocols. Zach LaVine, Troy Brown and Matt Thomas were among the players who also returned from multi-game absences Sunday, and Chicago will eventually get Derrick Jones (hamstring), Alex Caruso (foot) and Lonzo Ball (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) back at some point over the next two weeks. As a result, Dosunmu is more likely to see his playing-time outlook take a hit rather than improve.
Dec 23, 2021
Cleared to return
Dosunmu has cleared the league's health and safety protocols, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu missed the last three games due to the league's COVID-19 protocols but has now rejoined the team. The Bulls had several players exit the health and safety protocols Thursday, but Dosunmu could still see additional playing time Sunday against Indiana since Alex Caruso (foot) was unable to return to practice Thursday.
Dec 21, 2021
Doubtful Wednesday
Dosunmu (COVID-19 protocols) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
The Bulls previously noted that Dosunmu will remain out through Christmas, but they're listing him as doubtful on the injury report anyway. It would be a surprise if the rookie out of Illinois clears protocols in time to play.
Dec 16, 2021
Expected out past Christmas
Dosunmu (COVID-19 protocols) isn't expected to return until after Christmas, Jamal Collier of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is one of several Bulls in the league's health and safety protocols, and he'll likely need to spend at least two weeks away from the team. Javonte Green (COVID-19 protocols) and Coby White (COVID-19 protocols) have each cleared the NBA's protocols and could see increased roles once the Bulls return to play.
Dec 11, 2021
Put in protocols
Dosunmu was placed in health and safety protocols and is out for Saturday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu is the seventh Bulls player in protocols for Saturday's game, and it's certainly possible he misses more time. Chicago is at least getting Alex Caruso (hamstring) back, but the team remains extremely shorthanded.
Dec 7, 2021
Looks good in start
Dosunmu amassed 11 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 42 minutes during Monday's 109-97 victory over Denver.
ANALYSIS
The rookie got the starting nod for the first time in his NBA career with both Alex Caruso (hamstring) and DeMar DeRozan sidelined. He ended up seeing a game-high -- and season-high, by far -- 42 minutes of action, which he translated to a solid, all-around fantasy line highlighted by the eight assists. Thus far, the second-round pick out of Illinois hasn't played enough to warrant consideration in season-long leagues, but he could be worth a stream with DeRozan and Caruso each expected to miss multiple games going forward.
Dec 6, 2021
Making first NBA start
Dosunmu will start Monday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
The rookie second-round pick will make his first NBA start with Alex Caruso (hamstring), DeMar DeRozan (undisclosed), Javonte Green (COVID-19) and Coby White (COVID-19) sidelined. Dosunmu has averaged 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 16.1 minutes this season, but he's primed for an increased role for the near future with Caruso, Green and White set to miss multiple games.
Nov 9, 2021
Solid off the bench
Dosunmu had 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and seven rebounds over 20 minutes of action in a 118-95 win over the Nets on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu was the only member of the second unit to connect on more than two shots in the contest. The rookie logged a team-high plus-22 during his time on the floor. Dosunmu and veteran JaVonte Green have primarily absorbed Patrick Williams' (wrist) minutes, and although Green currently has the lion's share, Dosunmu has shown flashes and will likely see his role increase throughout the season.
Nov 2, 2021
Scores 14 points off bench
Dosunmu recorded 14 points (6-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes off the bench in Monday's win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Dosunmu had scored 13 combined points over his first five appearances this season, but he made the most of the opportunity Monday and posted a career-high output while making all six of his shots. However, the rarely gets enough playing time to make an impact and this performance might be an outlier rather than the norm going forward.
Aug 18, 2021
Signs with Bulls
Dosunmu signed a two-year deal with the Bulls on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the deal is reportedly worth $2.48 million -- all guaranteed. The 38th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft performed well in Summer League, averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Dosunmu gives the Bulls additional depth at the guard position, and he may be able to contribute right away as a reserve heading into the 2021-22 season.
